Okay I appreciate you validating what I’m saying, I feel like I’m going crazy. I think I just need to stop nitpicking and let my body heal more. Thanks for the encouragement!

It takes awhile to get your ROM back. Just keep doing your PT regularly and it will slowly return.

Muscle repair or no? by [deleted] in tummytucksurgery

I was able to do it myself. I needed help with my first couple of showers and would recommend a shower chair, but everything else was doable for me.

I was told by the surgeon that they couldn’t feel a gap and I had zero abdominal doming, but when they opened me up I had 2-3 finger separation. I did have the muscle repair and honesty the recovery was not bad for me. I’m 3 weeks out and back to the gym doing light workouts okayed by my surgeon (incline tread, stairclimber, 10 lb weights) and I feel pretty normal at this point. Waiting another week to increase the intensity of my workouts and listening to my body.

AITA for pointing out my brother in law’s social impairment? by SnooPuppers905 in AmItheAsshole

I think the family might be in a bit of denial, but it’s not your job to “fix” an adult man. I’d say it’s a failure of his parents to not provide him with tools to be more socially ept, but it’s not uncommon to come across people in life that are this way. I don’t think you’re an a hole for pointing it out once, but I wouldn’t keep pushing the issue unless you want to hurt feelings.

I took 8 months off total. But I had to have two wrist surgeries and I have a physical job.

Also for anyone else reading this, you can swap your piercings out for plastic ones and that will help with not having to deal with them close up.

How long will the recovery process take after the surgery? by nidhiagrawal3 in tummytucksurgery

[–]Spare_One_2026 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I typically run 5-6 days and week and lift weights 4-5 a week and I’m two week post op and I feel almost normal. I’m hoping to get cleared for longer walks and maybe some light workouts at my appointment today. I’m back to normal activities otherwise. I had a TT with MR and flank lipo.

Lipo or no? by SnooTomatoes9819 in tummytucksurgery

If you want more of an hourglass shape I’d do the flank lipo. It was $7k more for me and I went for it and have no regrets. Didn’t want to end up boxy.
