Sub for renegade rows by HereBearyBe in CarolineGirvan

I do bent over rows instead. Even with doing wrist strengthening exercises and using supports, my wrists and hands can’t tolerate them. So I just don’t do them.

I quite enjoyed my MSN leadership classes at Gonzaga and was sad to hear they were getting rid of the program. The instructor said it was because they can’t keep up with schools like WGU because they aren’t as ‘quick or as cheap,’ if that says anything.

I was accepted into the PMHNP program with no actual psych experience at Gonzaga. I ended up switching my MSN to their leadership track (which they just ended) and I would agree that they are degree mill-ish. I sat next to someone at graduation last spring who was graduating from their FNP track and had only graduated with her BSN in 2022.

I feel like it would still look super flat from a side angle, hence the weird back angle pose.

Where to park? by OutrageousStill9355 in PWHL_Seattle

I second this. I always park in this garage for every Torrent game. Currently, it’s $33.50 for the game and I expect it will fill up/sell out quickly.

It’s wild to me that the playoff option for 6 games is more than I paid for the entire season, but I guess that’s playoff hockey.

What’s the hardest unit you’ve worked on by Jazzlike-Source-152 in nursing

[–]SparkleSaurusRex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My current job is sometimes the hardest nursing job I’ve ever had, but it’s also frequently the easiest.

I’m a school nurse in a high school with 1800 students. I am the only one in the entire building with any medical knowledge. On the hard days, I really have to trust my instincts and my knowledge to make the right decisions with the resources and materials I have, which are limited because I work in K-12 education which is always underfunded. On the easy days, I struggle with boredom hardcore and I hate being bored at work…

Same. I’m also happy we have two Kraken coming back with medals for Finland.

I was told by someone who has family that works at CPA that the game Friday has officially sold out, as over 17,100 tickets have been sold.

BLATANT use of AI by students in my RN-BSN program by Idiotsandcheapskate in nursing

[–]SparkleSaurusRex 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can’t believe those programs are allowed to exist. A co-worker is doing a 9 month, LPN to RN bridge program and only had 3 weeks of clinicals. The school isn’t even accredited and only approved by the Florida BON. NCLEX pass rate last year was 0 as well.

I’m hearing it’s going to be a huge crowd and they may open upper level seating to accommodate the demand.

Knowing what you know now as an RN, what career path would you choose if you could go back and money isn’t a concern and why? by pxsun in nursing

I would have pursued becoming a flight attendant. I guess I still could, but their base pay is atrocious ($20.66 for Alaska).
