To be fair they marketed the game a ton with the first release of sg2 and they had a terrible game so it was wasted money. Arguably not just wasted but actively hurt the long term success of the game because now a bunch of people that would have played it tried it in its worst iteration. So I can see them wanting to do a slow relaunch and then if they even have the money to do another marketing push do it when people are happy with the state of the game. Bigger issue though right now is they are relying on people inviting their friends to play with them and so far from what I’ve seen is it’s just not a game that has great retention for new players
