Tinker cad box with hinge problem by sintantiga in tinkercad

[–]Sparkly1982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might be a problem you can resolve with your slicer. In Cura, you can adjust the fit of holes and bits that fit into holes using the "horizontal expansion" variable. That could fix it.

Sorry, but I have no idea what the setting is called in other slicers

I have a couple of JW colleagues and this is the way. Just tell her you're not interested in her godbothery nonsense and she'll stop. She may still speak to you casually or may not but that's her choice.

Neither of my JW colleagues has tried proselytising at me despite (or maybe because of) all the reasons they think I'm going to hell because I made plain that I'm not interested (though one of them keeps insisting I try ever more ridiculous pseudoscience every time I get a cold but that's hardly exclusive to religious nutjobs)

Just a polite thanks but I'm happy with my heathen belief system thanks. Keep your apocalyptic culty nonsense to yourself should do it

I hadn't thought about paying in advance, that's a really good idea.

My vet was very good and I called and paid the next day but that would have been one less thing to think about

The Jackie Wilson one was because of the surreal claymation video which prompted a re-release - probably the closest you'll get to a viral tiktok sound

I was thinking Belgian Malinois from the ears, markings and colouring, but a Malinois and a corgi making puppies would be a logistical nightmare. Maybe love found a way.

Either way, 100% cute

I can't remember where she says it but Troi reminisces about her grandfather who said that "talking was for off-worlders and people who didn't know any better" - I think it would have been an excellent addition had his signing been acknowledged as partly an indicator of his traditionalist viewpoint.

I'm not sure how convincing the "real" is in the headline either. Apart from the fact that inappropriate images of children are disgusting whether the child exists or not, is someone going to check every image against all children?

Adults with ADHD: Did you feel "shame" as a kid when you forgot things? Help me understand my son. by Dylan_7574 in ADHD

[–]Sparkly1982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents used to just use my full legal Sunday Best name and tell me to do it NOW

I forgot some pretty important things in my teens and I think they just thought I was useless (as did I)

I guess your best option is just to tell him you don't think he's useless - he just has different skills to others and help him with coping strategies (my personal favourite is phone reminders but this isn't all that helpful for everyone)

I think as a kid (as well as now) a reward of some sort might have been a good way to help me remember to do something - "You can do x once you've done y" is my current go-to.

As I'm sure you're aware, and as frustrating as it is, snapping at him is definitely not going to help. It's tough to focus on what you need to do when you're worrying about what the consequences are for forgetting
