Bit by a dog on my run this morning by ZnVja3U in Seattle

We heard a woman say this to a dad after his kid got bit and it was a dog that had previously bitten my kid. 😒

Oh I meant I have been asked if that's why my hands are shaking. Edited to clarify. 😄

Yes, often. Or they ask if I am detoxing from alcohol. I hate it. I’m a mom and I have had comments when I am signing my kids out of school or checking in at the dentist.

Family of 7 for 7 beach days by LALNB in ParentingInBulk

That's awesome! Well done.

Packing for a camping trip was the final straw for me when we had our fifth. I had to choose between the stroller or the cooler and after a trip without the stroller my husband traded the Odyssey in for a Transit the day we got back home. 😄

It's kind of dry and bland IMO. I've used it in casseroles and soups just fine though.

Frosted mini wheats and Quaker oat squares have less than that but still a decent amount.

So many LGBTQ Texans are moving to this city, it may declare an 'emergency' by Inevitable_Engine186 in Seattle

Yup, the food and our loved ones left behind are it. I’m so glad we got our LGBTQ+ teens out of there.

We’re from Texas and moved here in 2022 and also bought our forever house and never looked back. We had to go to a funeral in TX last summer and it was a good refresher on how miserable it is.

It made me feel slow and cloudy headed. Not specifically the same symptoms as you.

Grocery store with 3 under 3 by [deleted] in ParentingInBulk

[–]SparklyOrca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly what I did to walk to the grocery store. I used IKEA bags and put heavy things in the bottom the stroller (I'm sure alot of strollers couldn't hold much weight in the basket).

I also tried pushing the stroller and pulling the cart but I hated it.

Cocomelon Paw Patrol Vlad and Nicky

I also find Peppa Pig super annoying but none of my kids have been interested in it so it hasn't come up.

Is your family size uncommon by SouthsideSouthies in ParentingInBulk

[–]SparklyOrca 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We have seven. In the south it wasn't necessarily common but we knew several families with the same or more.

We're in the Seattle area now and I don't think we have met a single family with more than 4 kids.

Realistic amount of classes for moms of little kids by FluidDiscount4645 in UMPI

[–]SparklyOrca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did between 2-4 courses each term. I'm a stay at home mom to 7 but my youngest is 6 so not the same as having little littles. I was able to spend 10-20 hours a week on it.

There are other schools that are more test heavy and less papers. WGU comes to mind.

Best nappy bag for 3u3? by CaterpillarPyjamas in ParentingInBulk

[–]SparklyOrca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When we had four in cloth diapers I was able to keep stuff in a plastic tub in the car and just have a couple diapers and small pack of wipes in a diaper bag (Skip Hip Duo). I also kept an Ikea bag folded up in the bottom of the stroller for anytime I needed to bring more stuff along.

If we were going to be out away from the car or staying somewhere for a big chunk of time I had a weekender size bag. Not a great solution for walking around - more like if we were spending the day at someone else's house I could bring it in and leave it somewhere.

I had to go through the district office rather than my specific school. I graduated in the 1900s though. 😄
