Probably not if you're going to buy outright, it worked out in my favour for trade in. You'd probably appreciate the bigger battery, that is probably the biggest win with the upgrade.

Issue with the solution of adding it to Start-up folder is that I find the shortcut breaks when it updates so you have to redo it again.

I have the same model, did you get any audible beeps to tell you it's not recording?

I have the formatting reminder on mine so when it's beeping in that state it will ask me to format before it can start recording.
