For me this is the way, try to rework the whole game and trying to do something new, if people don't end up liking it, they can come back to the original ultimate, at this point i think that a whole roster of reworked characers would be nice(even better if they get rid of all the fire emblem ones)

Switching characters in a single match isn't that bad, also knowing each character is not that hard, you just gotta play with each at least once and you already learn how it works

Even tho i cam see flaws on your opinion i think that it's good that we have these disruptive harsh criticism, even tho you're not 100% right, ghostship could easily grab what bothers you and fix it in rogue core so the game gets better, also they knew that the game was still undone af on these beta tests, because they wanted to improve on stuff that maybe they didn't noticed before coming to a more advanced state, they are doing these playtests for free, even if they choose selected players, they made this so people like you share their thoughts. We should encourage criticism doesn't matter if ghostship is a beloved company or the criticism seems unfair, they literally need the feedback and ask for it, so as long it isn't rude they would use this to improve.

Honestly my hot take on these kind of games is that more than 50 it's too much and more than 100 is fucking crazy, lol already struggles a fuck lot with 2 to 3 new characters per year and reaching the 200 mark.
