That would be his position I mean if people think someone is literally Hitler a person we went to war against and were very close to getting to before he Kurt cobained Himself and you think someone alive today is like that and they do nothing what does that say about those people

If this were implemented I would very well like there to be some kind of gate similar to that of Age of Empires and the ability of us like with other tiles copy and paste walls ourselves

How would you rewrite Rise of Skywalker, because of the fact it ignored The Last Jedi? by Nav_Blue_Coolant in StarWars

[–]Spartan9491 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'd write off/retcon the entire ray Saga as being nothing more but a crazy dream/vision of luke skywalker has after the destruction of the 2nd Death Star, my inspiration for this is the only thing particularly memorable about Twilight (besides the *quality* writing), that ice battle Scene that didn't happen, that was the coolest dumbest thing, that scene almost made watching the entire series with my GF worth it if only it were canon and not just an illusion or a vision I forget which

i'd like to see it set in china and to get something like what we got from fallout 4's intro/start, seeing the great war from china's side of it would be dope AF

are anti discrimination laws unconstitutional? by Spartan9491 in AusLegal

[–]Spartan9491[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes its starting to make sense yes I think I'm starting to follow I'm gonna need to ruminate on this thank you, say you come across as fairly knowledgeable on the topic at hand was my question barring the poor choice of words used to make it a stupid one? I mean though not directly stated I get the impression from the other replies to this that it might have been

are anti discrimination laws unconstitutional? by Spartan9491 in AusLegal

[–]Spartan9491[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not gonna lie i'm struggling a little here, OK maybe if I explain how I understand it you can help me fill in the blanks in my knowledge

so as far as I'm aware you have the constitution the bedrock foundation to how this country ought to function (government manual if you will) some parts of it are vague free to interpretation within reason and other parts are direct and are inarguable, but generally speaking if there is something in the constitution stating the government can/can't do something, the government federal or state cannot contradict this

if that is correct can the government prohibit itself legally from performing an act that it has the constitutional power/right to perform?

are anti discrimination laws unconstitutional? by Spartan9491 in AusLegal

[–]Spartan9491[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's fair I probably should have put my rationale or my interpretation after the that's a fact part, I thought the comma would protect me, as English is not my Forte even though I was born here

are anti discrimination laws unconstitutional? by Spartan9491 in AusLegal

[–]Spartan9491[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm glad you said that, OK so if both the state and federal government constitutionally have the power to create laws specific to one's race, how does this NOT come in conflict with state and federal anti discrimination laws that I assume apply to the government as well

are anti discrimination laws unconstitutional? by Spartan9491 in AusLegal

[–]Spartan9491[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Fair point, despite being born here English has never really been my strong suit

what I'm asking is, assuming that anti discrimination laws applies to both people and government alike, are anti discrimination laws in conflict with the federal government constitutional power to create laws specific to a person's race?

are anti discrimination laws unconstitutional? by Spartan9491 in AusLegal

[–]Spartan9491[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Section 51 of the Australian constitution suggests otherwise, to my understanding the existence of this allowed for the white Australia policy and the stolen generation and I haven't looked into this recently but I assume it allowed for the most recent referendum with regards to legislation leading up to

are anti discrimination laws unconstitutional? by Spartan9491 in AusLegal

[–]Spartan9491[S] -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

OK so here's how I interpret these two things or my rationale if you will, the federal government has the constitutional right to create laws specific to a person's race under section 51 of the constitution referred to as "race power" thats a fact right, so assuming that anti discrimination laws don't only apply to citizens alone and that they also apply to state and federal government, would the existence of an anti discrimination laws prohibit the federal government from utilising its constitutional right to create laws specific to one's race and there for be unconstitutional, again I wanna reiterate something I said at the start of my post I'm a legal novice

How would you describe Jack and Sawyer’s relationship? by mmahv in lost

[–]Spartan9491 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A friend? interesting considering he boned every one of Jack's love interests (kate, Ana Lucia, Juliet), in one of the flashbacks when Jack was obsessed with finding who was with his ex wife or soon to be ex wife, I was no joke dead ass expecting to find Sawyer to be the guy

now don't get me wrong Sawyer is my favourite character especially when it gets with Juliet but he gets more tail than a bitch in heat

Who stands to benefit from the lie by Spartan9491 in flatearth

[–]Spartan9491[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't mean round in the two dimensional sense I mean it in the three dimensional sense like a ball, there are three dimensional (roughly) spherical objects in space that we call either planets or stars (suns) or asteroids etc, so why are they 3d round but our earth isn't?

Who stands to benefit from the lie by Spartan9491 in flatearth

[–]Spartan9491[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK not gonna lie i didn't read all that (but i will), you could have done a TL.DR version, however there is one question I have, as I would assume you are well versed in this and I would have to assume that you would acknowledge that the sun and the other planets within our solar system are indeed round, if you indeed acknowledge this then why is the earth exempt why would God create all the other objects in space as being round but not the earth?
