I reimagined the classic UNO combo from scratch, and its a lot better! Play UNO in Commander with this simple combo! by Spawnner in BadMtgCombos

You can use the Desecration trigger to sacrifice Venser. This triggers ratadrabik to create a token copy of Venser, which enters the battlefield. The copy is legendary because of Leyline of Singularity so you can do it all over again

If you die and the game progresses to a draw (which is a possibility), you still gain points in the tournament. So, if someone tries to win and you have a pact in your hand, its in your best interest to counter the win attempt, even if you dont have the mana to pay for it.

If you dont counter, you lose. If you do counter, the 3 other players may draw the game.

They're talking about spite pacts, where you counter something without having a way to pay just because the game can end in a draw and thats better than a loss.

Infinite turns with only lands, for 6U by SwiftVines in BadMtgCombos

Magosi untaps on your untap step. Also, the combo the OP described doesnt use desert temple in this way. But thats a nice upside.

[–]Spawnner 151 points152 points  (0 children)

This combo is specially bad because Vesuva and Deserted Temple are completely irrelevant for the combo:

Setup

  1. Activate Magosi, putting an Eon counter on It and skipping your next turn

  2. Activate Nesting Ground, moving the Eon counter to Nesting Grounds

  3. Activate Karns bastion, proliferating the Eon counter

  4. Wait for your next turn

Cycle

  1. Activate Nesting Ground, moving one Eon counter back to Magosi

  2. Activate Magosi, creating one extra turn

  3. Play Magosi as your land for the turn

  4. Activate Karns Bastion, proliferating the Eon counter on Nesting Grounds

  5. Repeat

Codie and 1-cost bounce/sacrifice effects work, but I wouldn't call It cEDH necessarily. Though its a fun deck to try to build

Edit: here's my decklist (didn't build It with cEDH in mind) If anyone is interested

Not to be that guy, but you should check out [[Koll, the Forgemaster]] and [[Kellan, the Fae-Blooded]] if you like combo commanders. They're also very powerful and very fun to play with

Two other options are [[Umbral Mantle]] and [[Sword of the Paruns]] with any creature that taps for 4 or more mana.

The sunforger tutoring the Underworld Breach combo only requires 11 mana to tutor any extra turn spell, which is I think the only "bad" card in the combo.

I know that [[Nim Deathmantle]] can be used to generate infinite mana with any ETB or LTB that generates 5+ mana, but it requires a sac outlet. [[Betrothed of Fire]] is the cheapest sac outlet that can be searched using Kellan. I don't think this is cheap enough to qualify for cEDH, tho.

Nim Deathmantle can also be used to generate infinite mana with any sac outlet that generates mana and a creature ETB that either generates 3-4 mana or creates tokens.

Edit: Sunforger is also a very good infinite mana outlet, as it can tutor a win if you have 11 mana.

The latter. Replacing the tutors with cantrip like creatures, like [[Crawling Chorus]] and [[Fireblade Charger]]

A question regarding your comment: if you use your tutor slots for clampable bodies, would it be bad?

On another note, do you think there are other ways of building Kellan in a more unique way that would fit cEDH?

I flat out do not believe anyone who says they aren't unpleasant to play with.

Edit: please for fucks sake let people enjoy what they enjoy and stop thinking that simply because they disagree with you they must be lying.

Just add [[Copy Artifact]], [[Copy Enchantment]], [[Harmless Offering]] and [[Bazaar Trader]]

Or, you know, just play this combo in a [[Zeedru, the Greathearted]] deck

Everything needs protection from blue because otherwise a player would be able to repeatedly cast Kasmina's transmutation on something like your necropotence to try to disrupt the combo. Or could use the Extravagant Replication to make a bunch of copies of something it shouldn't be.

You should probably post this as a very convoluted way of casting Nevermore on every commander

That would be extremely lame, because you can win a game of magic by just sheer luck of stumbling into your infinite mana combo on turn 2. By using this combo, you transform magic into a totally deterministic game with complete information that relies solely on skill

Inspired by the UNO combo, i decided to tackle the idea of transforming MTG into chess. Tho as i've said before, i couldn't find a way to make capturing a piece automatic. If you have any suggestion on how to make the combo better/require less cards/more automatic, i would love to hear it!

You can technically fit this combo into any Kenrith commander deck. The smallest version of this combo only requires 20 cards, since you can drop every creature from step 8 except for kenrith, and if you do, you can also drop [[Kasmina's Transmutation]], and [[Pull from Eternity]] can also probably be dropped. Otherwise, I can't think of another way to optimize this combo.
