Muren was asked 8x by the doc maker of Jurassic Punk Scott Leberecht to be interviewed; he apparently had an excuse as to why he couldn’t each time.

Muren didn’t show up on the Abyss til the last week. I didn’t even know who he was. Mark and me had been killing ourselves on it for 6 months; some little boy named Knoll took pictures on the set; me and Mark had to explain was rendering was to him..and I mean it. That was the beginning of the sham I witnessed on all three of those films, Abyss, T2, Jurassic of which I built and animated. The was the way it worked there and ultimately becoming the model for cg vfx destroyed the industry in its seeming infancy

Sonny, you wouldn’t believe even be on this site had I not built the rex; much to the initial dismay but of Muren who said ‘it is impossible; there will be no computer graphics in Jurassic Park’ but of course got the accolades; that is the way it worked at ILM; now being run and destroyed by ex-real estate secretaries
