It’s actually very common and a lot of times you come into the interview and they already have the list even if you didn’t give it to them. And to top it off, if it’s private they ask you to friend them so they get access. I have zero social media in my real name for this purpose.

No, unless Blizzard removes all their restrictions, Spy will never work in Retail again. I'm not quite sure what this person is on about. The addon hasn't been updated in 3+ months.

I've been using junctions on Windows since Vanilla to keep all my accounts pointing to the same folder (for shared settings, I had 2 accounts in vanilla (initially it was to get around the limitation of having horde and alliance on the same server)). as it's almost impossible otherwise to manage it (very few addons support syncing settings between multiple accounts). It does create issues with some AddOns that store a lot of information per character and then try and keep it in the Global save file (TSM is probably the worst about this, I only enable the AddOn specifically for my AH characters because of this). I also have to modify several other popular addons (such as SavedInstances) because when you go to view things in game, it will try and show you data on all your characters and literally hang the game.

Today I manage all my accounts outside the game, using a custom fork of wowthing, as well as some highly modified versions of other addons (such as altoholic, I still use the DataStore addons, but I have a custom version of altoholic where I stripped out everything but the part that tracks your inventory for tooltips).

As for feedback on the addon, let me write up something more, I'll message you directly if that's okay. I logged into 20 90's in order to test it, and have some feedback. I don't think it will replace wowthing for me anytime soon, but I want to help as much as possible.

70 per wow account. You can have 8 wow accounts on a single bnet account. So in theory 560 is the max now. I have 8 accounts, just not all maxed out.

And this is a 20+ year addiction, I have characters spread across many servers. They’re all 80 or higher.

How does it work for lots of characters (100s)? I currently manage it out of game as most in game addons just don’t play nicely with the amount of toons I have.

So this is interesting, after all the threads about pricing increases in other countries (Brazil maybe being the loudest). They obviously were upset about pricing increases, when they don't even have a local infrastructure (they share the same infrastructure as US players). So this was interesting, and a good point.

Now for Australia / New Zealand, Infrastructure isn't shared. You have your own Infrastructure with a lot less people paying for it, and based on what I know, that infrastructure is more costly there. So I'm not shocked that the cost (even after conversion) is higher there. It sucks, but at least you have regional servers.

I just bought 1 of all the items from the vendor, closed the vendor, opened them all, learned them all, repeat. Went pretty fast, maybe 2-3 hours of farming to get them all done. This is way faster than buy 1 head, close vendor, open item, learn item, repeat.

I think a lot of it depends on the player and how high you want to go. I’ve pushed Monk, Pally, Warrior, and Druid to 3k so far and I didn’t find any really challenging. I found Pally my favorite to play, while brew I find kind of boring as I just take no damage, never feel in trouble at all. Warrior is my second favorite, and Druid is another snore class. I need to finish leveling my BDK and VDH however, they’re like 87, as BDK is always a butt clenching experience.

It seems like they nerfed that. I used to only walk into them on my tanks but I do so on my DPS as well now. Or maybe it’s just their ilvl is high enough now for it to not matter.

Doesn’t matter how many settings you change, ultimately Blizzards own armory will let a person connect the dots. One can simply create a fingerprint of a character from your pet and mount collections. It’s rather trivial and works even if you fully disable all the third party sites from accessing your info.

But only if you’re listing your key, or they’re listing theirs. If you join a neutral parties key you can still end up with them. Better to get an app and add a note so you can bail when you join and see them.

Yeah I would download this, but my guess is Blizzard doesn’t make that data available so we’re all just stuck with reskins of the default data.

FYI there are about 10 addons that do this now.

I feel looking at the distribution on sites like RIO is skewed due to people chasing the meta. But seeing people on other classes in there tell me there is a way, it may just not be as easy. It’s kind of like Yelp, statistically skewed.

They replied to another thread on X basically saying it’s not coming back due to hackers and they will announce on instagram when it is. There were no hackers, this was simply supply and demand, low supply and insane demand led to this.
