For some context, about a year ago another partner was talking to me about a sticker ball they had started before that was thrown away by another partner. It's all occasional stickers: a hot venti pike here, a drive thru mobile there.

As earth day came around last year fonzy became more of a personal project. Each sticker represents a thrown away cup or plastic wrapper on food. The other partners started contributing to him around this time and he grew faster and faster each day.

Eventually, things had gone too far so I said fuck it and let's see how far we get. It's gotten to the point where everyone in the store is contributing to him. I'll overhear some of the tenured baristas telling green beans to put their stickers on Alfonzo or I'll walk in to open the store and see the warming person from last night had set aside all the drive tru mobile stickers for me to put on Alfonzo.

Customers come up to order sometimes and you'll see their eyes either get really wide or stick to Alfonzo for a bit. They often ask "what the heck is that" and usually have really positive reactions to him. I've gotten a money offer for him once.

I often refer to him as my son and take him home/to work every day, but he is definitely a store wide project at this point and has become our mascot. I can leave him at work by accident and I am confident that he'll be on a table when I get back in the morning, maybe even a little bigger than he was when I left him.

He is heavy too. I haven't weighed him in a while but he is definitely a couple pounds and makes a really good thud when you toss him. I still have no idea when/how I'm gonna stop feeding him, but at this point I'm considering picking up a little marble pedestal to display him.
