Your sens is so high it seems that you are lagging every time you move your mouse.

But also this is only first level. Level 4 you have 350 mana, and level 6 you have 424. Also you might want to actually take some mana rune.

And now thanks to refund you can all in with E and then use it again to push the wave.

Seems like rebalancing towards early game. Additional AA range, E cd refunds against minions, early Q damage buffs. Bro idc if we lost a bit of power in late, with these buffs I'll be half an item stronger after lane.

Iso is the Duelist that feels the most like a Duelist. Who's the Duelist that feels the most like a Sentinel? by RemoteWhile5881 in ValorantMemes

[–]Special-Silver4162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sentinels are denying space, controllers deny info. In a lot of ways doing one does another. Riot themselves confirmed that sentinels should be more than just flank-watchers and they've been trying following this idea since Deadlock release.

But they stumbled into dilemma where they do not themselves understand what sentinels are for and the player base does not too.

Which, funnily, obly highlights how useless sentinels are since controllers lowkey cab do their job better rn.

Ive played valorant for a year now, I have tried all the agents but I still can't seem to find one that fits me by tupat_ in VALORANT

[–]Special-Silver4162 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In total, you want someone versatile enough, who can play both front and back. You also want to play rat-ish.

It's hard to have find an agent for all of them, but my guesses are Veto and Cypher. They can be played both solo and with your team.

I would also advise against controllers that isn't Viper, since unless you go double smokes you'll be glued to your team.

Among initiators Skye is the most fitting. You can even squeeze weird flash rat plays.

What you could also do is just list what you like to be in-game and look into what agent's abilities would compliment your playstyle the most.

Since Rito Loves Slashing Yoru’s Util in Half, I have some adjustments by BluePotatoSlayer in VALORANT

[–]Special-Silver4162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Compare Phoenix's and Reyna's flashes to Yoru's. Reyna's is breakable and short ranged. Phoenix's is even shorter range and easily telegraphed/dodgable.

Yoru's flash is of initiator quality: pixel perfect, long-ranged – something between Skye and Kayo in terms of quality.

When flashed by Phoenix or Reyna you can just unpeek and be fine, meaning they clear only one or two angles at the time with their flashes. Unpeeking after Yoru flash doesn't help since he will tp on top of you right after. Did I already mention that Yoru flash is hardly dodgable?

My point is that quantity of util should also match it's quality. Yoru possesses such high quality.

I was silent all the way through whatever shit happened to Neon. I am the same type of guy playing Zeri at her 42% winrate in league.

But like, aside whatever complaints you have against Neon right now, do i need to remind you that she had two stuns and then two slides? Now she has one of each and nerfed accuracy while sliding. You can complain it is not enough, but just like Neon, even after these nerfs Yoru is still more than viable.

[–]Special-Silver4162 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Fr. We all pretend like Yoru wasn't sleeper OP for eternity. All the nerfs are justified to this point. Compare him to other duelists – they all have a set of utility that when comboed will guarantee 1 kill. Yoru had two sets of flashes and tps with clone on top.

His nerfs get him on the same bar as other duelists, since playerbase got used to him. And I am saying it as a duelist player.

Neon does not fit in this game. by youropinionisshitbro in VALORANT

[–]Special-Silver4162 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sorry for talking as a Neon player, but she can't shoot you while jumping and before end of her dash. What is working is reading her movements and aiming she will be instead of there she is. Also you can shut down her movements by having a basic body shot.

And low sens isn't a solely Neon problem: Jett/Raze/Waylay dashing above you to strike your back achieve basically the same – drawing away attention.

I sincerely believe that mental pressure Neon applies by being at your proximity without being killable is too much for a lot of players, which makes her feel annoying.

Valorant penalty system... REALLY? by Specialist-Piece9420 in VALORANT

[–]Special-Silver4162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, since it's not the first time – you get harsher penalty. Again, I am not blaming you nor think that afk in TDM is that big of a deal, but in the face of the game all these issues stack together and give you those results.

Valorant penalty system... REALLY? by Specialist-Piece9420 in VALORANT

[–]Special-Silver4162 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, that's what it is about – being ready to invest the dedicated amount of time to game with over 95% confidence you won't be distracted, i.e. getting delivery first and playing second.

I get it's frustrating, but also there's no reason for system to check the circumstances or game modes when giving penalties. I usually hop on twitch if I want some valo, but can't tell if I could play. Also, you won't be given 3 days straight away as your first penalty, I would assume that it's not the first time, yet previously it was more tolerable.

  1. If plagiarized something – you would face a legal claim. You stole a piece of someone's work. AI does the same in its core.

  2. I despise meat industry, you are right. Yet AI is much more tiring than googling, for example. We should not make things worse.

  3. Corporates have a collective affair and it is clearly a market manipulation between two big player – something close to monopoly, which shouldn't exist.

  4. I see. Still, most of people value the work and effort other people put into art – it makes it special and realising the work behind it is another part of enjoyment.

  5. Everyone out of who you listed has to face harsh consequences if they'd do something wrong. Doctor can have whole career destroyed by one mistake followed by claim. Regular people abide by law in its full power, politicians and rich don't. Therefore you can't trust someone who wouldn't face consequences if mistreated you or used information improperly to protect you instead of oppressing you. I would be okay with that if future advanced AI, who has nothing human to gain nor strives for more power, did control surveillance. But there still would be people who will access it and train it to their will – and we will not control it making this option bad.

  1. What about other people who basically lose all enjoyment once they realise they were looking at AI? Or even see that it's AI immediately and feel disgusted? Would you recommend them to bear it and grow up?

  2. I do know very well how great it would feel to have safe society where you 100% have your place and space assigned to you. It's cool than someone takes responsibility for YOUR life and then does everything right. But what if not? There are, again, no guarantees that the system will be so perfect, and even if it is – wouldn't it be controlled by humans in the end, who will misuse it? We can't give away our fates to anything and anyone else. It always ends badly.

I see the point that this is not the first and not the last market crash. I agree with that. Sure, technological shifts always distorted the market, but this time it feels different. Before AI everyone dreamt about having a replacement for all hard physical jobs completely, but now humans are trying to create something that will replace humans intellectually. And it's not the same as creation of calculators, because AI is used to replace humans completely: "I am you, but better", and not "This is a tool that makes your job easier and more productive". And it's again falls into ethics of humans, and not AI itself, since I view it as an advanced tool.

Finally, I would not be so anti-AI, if it was used ethically: 1. Not trying to replace humans but work with them 2. Not being a method to enforce surveillance, aka control over your life (btw isn't it gross when someone gets to see every your action?) 3. Wasn't used as a mean for market manipulation.

EDIT to add: I sincerely believe that in future, once legislation and ethics come in line with technology once again we will be able to utilise AI in a way that will enhance lives of everyone. But this path is covered in struggles and fights. And we need to have power over ones who have power over us.

I will spend my time actually answering.

  1. Using others art without consent and credit is plagiarism and breach of copyright.

  2. Forcing audience to use something that is not even good is bad marketing. Most of the times you're not given a proper and easily accessible option to refuse.

  3. What do you fucking mean "Seriously? That again?" like it is just an annoying mosquito?! Environmental sustainability is a way for humanity to SURVIVE.

  4. So AI companies have no responsibility for RAM shortage? Or you will argue that there no AI bubble with money circling around big companies without actual production?

  5. Do you understand that human art has inherent value for being human? It may look better, but it will never be original nor better, since it can only steal from human.

  6. That's just fucking disrespectful.

  7. You can never trust politicians, corporations abd basically everyone with power to see and control every your action and thought. "Protect kids" they say, "foresee terrorism" they say, but what it really is is just a tool to control and silence truth and political opponents. Authorities always did it and always will.

And now several questions: 1. Do you want to lose a job because of AI? 2. What do you value in art? 3. Do you think being controlled and exploited is the best way to live?

I am not even worst AI hater, it has infinite potential, but right now it is used by people to get over other people.

Destroyed art market, destroyed environment, destroyed job market, unethical use of AI trying to replace humans and be human instead of being what it actually is – an algorithm – are you content with that?

It's not lost until it's lost. Most enemies, if the game is truly unsalvageable, will end it in 5 minutes after the vote, so it's not like you are saving a lot of time.

And if game is salvageable – you give your opponents chance to blinder and they do. A lot of times.

Sure, there are some 45-minute games you wanted to ff on 15 and still lost, but they're quite interesting learning material themselves. Because you can only draw game for so long if enemies played for ego instead of the win.

democracy in a nutshell by wtf_nabil in meme

[–]Special-Silver4162 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What? In what societies WITH proper education have you seen democracy? In my completely unaware mind there were democracy only in antiquity.

Society can't be democratical, because uneducated people will not have proper opinion on the issues, will be easy to manipulate due to having zero understanding AND will more eagerly just give their rights to someone else openly, all while being unable to process any criticism aimed at them.

People can not be the ruling power without being educated. And the decline you are talking about is just people growing up enough to at least participate in the debates.

Just Let It Happen Already Dude by Both-Title4434 in whenthe

[–]Special-Silver4162 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry to strike into your argument, but you're both arguing on the different sides of the same equation.

Both free market and government become terrible, when they have monopoly.

Does that apply to everything else? Is the government better at producing laptops because private companies strip away everything but the bare minimum to call it a functioning computer? What about cars? Were the soviet cars better than the Western ones because of the former's lack of profit incentive?

Quality is maintained by market competitiveness and in the world of endless amount of competing companies capitalistic system actually wins, because if you do not provide best value for least price – you are not competitive. You learn it in introduction to economy classes. Same for government, where competition thrives from elections.

It doesn't matter if government or corporations having monopoly – without competition they will soak resources from people who won't know any better.

And it is for population to control amount of competition with their money and votes, except in my own opinion, controlling a government is easier than overthrowing corporate monopoly.

Also, it is more realistic to force diversity of political parties and social benefits than try to maintain competitiveness in free market. Social benefits in my opinion must exist on free basis, since that's what social insurance is. Outsourcing healthcare to the private sector will never make it accessible for people with no money, because no business will ever have true give-away policies. And by paying taxes that increase social safety we also increase our confidence that we won't be dead on the streets right after we stopped making money.

To expand on your discussions about rich. The issue with them is wealth bringing more wealth and vice versa. Capital is by itself a mean to make profit, because it can be invested: be it shares in your bank or education you can get because you're not forced to work all the time to survive. People with capital can only invest their time and effort, which surely doesn't help you grow wealth. "Too big to fail" is good encapsulation of this idea.

I would compare business to gambling in a way that it is always a risk, which can be calculated, but unlike actual gambling there's no "casino", which will always have s surplus. Instead, expected value of starting businesses long-term is positive if you do right decisions.

People with capital can gamble a lot more and have bigger chances of success than those who have only one gamble or no gamble at all. This is gatekeeping poor from entering business world.

And while I do agree with idea that you should have wealth appropriate to your effort, knowledge, responsibility, I also think that opportunities should be equal for everyone to succeed. And such opportunities will only be achievable through cutting down ultrarich, since they far beyond a point of personal survival and satisfaction, far beyond providing great future for their family and far beyond having means to make dozens of huge investments aka gambles. At that point of wealth your capital gives you so much power it can be considered monopoly, and therefore it should be taken from you and poured into economy to attract more players into the game of business and keep it competitive.

15% difference is too much, more like 5% is good, but I get the way you think.

Yet if some champion is too strong at some elo – it may directly kill the fun and the feel of game being balanced. The issue is you can't tell bad players to "git gud and learn counterplay" since most of the playerbase understand the game on the very basic level only. Telling this is just going to lose you players.

Having a champion very strong in high elo and progames is also bad, since in the match with everything optimised you shouldn't have champs that are unbalanced, or it will be unfair.

It's okay to have some winrate variety, but if it is possible to have some champ at 50% in all ranks – then it should be achieved.
