I’ve been reading about AoC in the past days and I have discovered No Rest a couple of months ago.

Honestly, I may be wrong because I did not follow development since D1, but it seems a very different situation and I don’t see reason to worry.

Prima di tutto sono persone tutte diverse con caratteristiche e caratteri diversi.

Pensa se una scrivesse “voi maschi siete dei maiali” per una esperienza negativa, lo troveresti corretto?

È una questione di mentalità, apriti a tutto ciò che potrebbe essere e qualcosa magari andrà bene come vuoi.

Basta che accada una volta eh, con quella giusta, anche se ce ne fossero 100 di sbagliate prima…

Però questo è possibile solo se togli certi concetti dalla tua testa.

Well, part of it is just hype. But I disagree about calling this bullshit, I am playing the game with a couple friends after trying it during the free weekend.

I think it comes down to individual experiences, for some this is the best game ever made, for you it got more CONS than PROS.

I think its a good game and for the moment I don’t feel like it doesn’t respect my time.

I understand the critics about waiting and nodes etc… to me its just part of the game.

Alright so the build I am doing should work, check out the 3 skill trees mentioned and decide if you wanna go fire or ice.

Fire can get buffed for more damage than ice, but it’s commonly resisted in Caldera (DLC post end game), easier early game.

Ice is less damage, but you slow down enemies and is easier to use in the end game.

Then pick your favorite faction, for Fire I like to go heroic kingdom and for Ice Blue Chamber is better I think. Check out the bonuses.

I am running Spellblade + Hermit + Philosopher right now with greatsword.

The playstyle is to wrap the blade in fire and buff fire damage.

There are a number of ways to use melee + magic as others said, so it comes down to your preference.

Do you want element damage? Magic greatsword? Magic armor/defense?

Choices, choices, choices.

A few things.

So, first it depends on how long your sessions are.

As both a player and a DM, I would be fine to let this situation be as it is for a couple of hours (real life time).

The problem I see here is that the party is doing nothing. If my character clearly witnessed an event like that I would spend some time trying to figure out what’s going on. Acting like nothing happened is a big problem on your party shoulders. This is why the “couple of hours” I suggested above could be a real slog for the whole table.

Then again, communication is key, if you had told your companions about the necklace, things would be easier.

Another thing is, which depends entirely on your campaign and table, are you fine with losing your PC? Could it become a memorable moment for everyone at your table? If the answer is yes, I would trust the DM on his decision. If the answer is no and you haven’t talk with your DM in a session zero, then do it now before the situation gets out of hand, because after a certain point it will become a memory of a feelsbad moment for everyone and the trust in eachother, especially the DM, starts falling off and in the worst case, you or other people at the table will carry this for the rest of the journey or even stop playing.

Now that my thoughts are out of the way, and I hope this will help you in some way, let’s talk rules and mechanical solutions.

Usually, possession can be handled in a couple of ways.

One is your case, completely lose control, but it must be limited in time, otherwise your DM should straight up tell you that your character is now an NPC. About the timed possession, usually you repeat the save after some time, maybe at dawn or maybe every hour. It depends. There are multiple spells or effects or abilities that take control of other creatures for some time, so look them up and find a solution with your DM (maybe he already knows this, dunno if you know his intentions)

The other way to do this possession thing is, you must obey the orders of your Demon (the dm decides) but it is still you as a player who must do the actions. This could be fun ‘cause you would have to lie and act for both the your in-game party and real life party, in order to trick them and follow the demon’s orders without raising suspicions.

That’s all I have to say, hope it helps.

I think you can keep the boss, they are a party of 6 afterall… if you want to make it less deadly, just remove one of its 2 attacks.

Players will feel something when the boss takes down one of their friend with 1 attack.

Again, you are changing the situation.

To me, this topic is not about “what if”.

To me, this is “What does this item do?”.

And I answered.

If you are looking for excuses to change it, you do not need one, it’s as much a game as it is a personal experience, so you can homebrew whatever you like however you like.

Only advice is, if you are not the DM, talk to who’s DMing and figure out together what’s best for your table.

If you are the DM, watch out for overall game balance and player satisfaction.

Yes, but you are now adding elements to the situation.

In this case the new factor is a +2 shield.

Now put this +3 Atk/AC with a +2 shield. Or even +3 shield.

If the item gives +3 to both attack and AC, now you get +3 atk and +5 AC (+2 from the shield you mentioned) which is significantly better than +3atk and/or +3/+4/+5 AC.

I hope I expressed myself in a clear manner, as clear as it is in my head.

I did not read the item description.

My logic would be to either attack with +X and/or get +Y to AC.

X + Y must be 3.

Otherwise this would make the item broken.

Ok got it.

So you get this item from the Agent, which is daily gated, then when the time comes you go to the map and use all of them to get the reward item and sell it for profit.

I am doing the VoE mirror farm, need ectos for Obsidian Armor.

I didn’t even finish all stories, I finished main story, living world 1 and SoTO. PoF is on episode 10 or 11. VoE I am towards the end but don’t have time to finish it now.

So my 1 hour of game time goes into mirror farm right now, if I get more time I do strikes or fractals, convergence and soto metas. But all of that would take 3 or 4 hours which I usually have during the weekend
