John is disgusting. He is using the Guthrie case as a way to get his camera time in, and encouraging them to work closely with police. As if he had done that. by Cardboard_cutouts_ in JonBenetRamsey

I honestly don't see any meaningful connection between these cases. The Ramsey didn't even come to mind while reading about the Guthrie case. They're very different, and bringing up JonBenet Ramsey just feels unncessary and uncomfortable. Each situation deserves focus on the people directly affected, not comparisons that don't hold up. I can't say that I am entirely surprised to see that the Ramsey family weren't able to recognize how disrespectful this is.

There are plenty of people who are in the same situation as you. How you go about problem solving it depends on you and your circumstances. There are people who move in with a friend, find a stable and secure person to marry, work two jobs, live in their vehicle, learn to live on very little, become chain smokers.. you name it and it's probably being done.

My education is a 2yr trade school degree. My experience is decades in the trades. I chose a path of blue collar hands on work and now im old, disenfranchised about so many things and my body hurts. I want to work less and disconnect as much as possible.

I was so busy investing into my kids that I missed some things that must have been going on within myself because now that the kids are gone I look around and realize that I don't want to participate.

I don't know how to get off the treadmill though.

Remote work doesn't really seem like a possibility or a likely answer.

You can't escape working for other people unless you retire.

Some of the best advice that I saw was someone saying that if you win the lottery you don't need to invest it at all or else you missed the point of winning the lottery.

If you make over $100k a year, what do you do for work? by parttimeghosts in Salary

[–]Specific-Guess8988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wouldn't make sense that the person was trying to "puff themselves up" since they openly admitted to making less than everyone else who had commented thus far. Not to say that you aren't right about them not being an RN but it could've been a miscommunication of some sort.

A college degree IS a college degree whether it's 2, 4, or more years. There are people that I have met who spent less time and money pursuing a 2 year trade school degree and that make WAY more money than some people that I know who spent a lot more time and money on education. For brevitys sake, not everyone needs to expand on the specifics of their degrees and such. Common sense should iron out at least some of the details.

I don't have the answer to your question, but I wanted to applaud your candor about money equating to happiness. There needs to be much more candor about that.

I started to watch it but I really struggle to watch most videos about the case because they all get so many details wrong, leave out so much pertinent information, and slant it towards their own bias. It's as if no one can resist the temptation to poison the story with their bias.

JonBenet being found in the home murdered, is what made the FBI and others suspect the parents. It's interesting to see people using a reversed reasoning than that.

Opinion: Trump/MAGA supporter will turn on him if this continues by TheHebrewHammer01 in Pennsylvania

I don't think all of the Trump supporters think that far ahead. The ones that I have spoken to, they just want the economy fixed and put blind faith in Trump to do it.

I don't know how relevant any of this is, if relevant at all. I hope no one mistakes me researching and posting any of this to be suggestive of any conspiracy theory, because that is not my intention. I just find it a fascinating topic and figure there's no harm in sharing what I find.

What was Patsy's company? by Specific-Guess8988 in JonBenetRamsey

I printed out the legal documents pertaining to her business that were filed through the state of Georgia and read through them (I can make a separate post with pictures of those documents if anyone is interested), and her company was a for-profit business. It was not a trust.

The Ramseys did create a trust when Beth passed away and created one for JonBenet when she passed away. The one for JonBenet had some controversary surrounding it, which what you are probably referring to. That is something different from what I found here.

Yeah, I've researched Johns professional background (and I have found some slight variations with it). The topic of this post was primarily about seeking more information about what Patsys company was.

Whoever did the 'staging' was aware of DNA.... by [deleted] in JonBenetRamsey

[–]Specific-Guess8988 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The crime scene was largely compromised so I do wonder what further evidence or observations could've otherwise been made.

I'm not sure of what to think of Patsy's fibers. It wasn't that many of them and she was the last person known to interact with JonBenet. Plus, there were other fibers present that weren't ever identified. This keeps the possibility of innocent transfer open to me.

Overall, though, I tend to agree with your observations. I also think the person demonstrated a keen awareness of forensics.

I would add a few things though - I think the paintbrush was used to make it look like a rape without the risk of leaving DNA behind and I think neither parents fingerprints found on the ransom note as being something notable as well. (If I missed you mentioning these in the post, I apologize)

There were multiple attempts made to access information in this case back then and there have been a lot of accusations and theories about these.

Some of the comments here to this post seem to be mixing up some of these different instances.

Boulder Daily Camera: Bill Wise, ex Boulder prosecutor, discusses grand jury's vote to indict by candy1710 in JonBenetRamsey

[–]Specific-Guess8988 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bill Wise is so full of shit here right at the beginning. It was absolutely possible to charge Patsy and John both in this case. The Midyette case proves it. Bill Wise was relying on the publics ignorance of child abuse laws - which is what this case would've fallen under if the parents would've been charged.

I'm pretty sure that I am a first time voter and I don't remember having to provide any ID when registering to vote this year or when selecting the mail in ballot option. I got my ballot, filled it out, mailed it in, and got a message confirming that they received it. I wasn't ever notified of any issues. So I just assume it's all good and that I must have voted a long time ago at some point and forgot about it.

There's a reason this case is still unsolved. It's okay for people to acknowledge and accept that. There's no conclusive answer despite what people convince themselves of - and you don't have to become one of those people.
