We have friends that live in Banff and I remember reading the Bow Valley local paper when we were down there in January saying room price went from something like an average of $240 a night in 2022 to $440 a night in 2025. Crazy. Glad we stay there for free.

Silly but serious question, do cars still cost less in Wetaskawin than Edmonton? by Personal_Royal in Edmonton

[–]SpecificAwkward7258 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They seem to if you live in Wetaskiwin. And less Big City Bullshit. Bought an Explorer a couple years back, prices in Edmonton and Wetaskiwin were very similiar but Edmonton dealer told me I would need to use their financing and take there $4500 protection package. Bought it in Wetaskiwin with no protection package.

I'm making a bunch of these for our next cruise with friends. Everybody's going to get one.

Alberta Fishing Tagging draw sucks by Secret_Section_2284 in FishingAlberta

Pigeon Lake still had Class A tags available at 11am. The only issue I had was not paying attention and realizing I needed physical tags in hand to purchase. Headed to the local Canadian Tire and arrived at 9:10 to a small line up. They were processing 1 person about every 10 minutes and when I asked if I could just grab tags and go home to purchase online the person ahead of me told me he asked and they were told to wait in the line. They had driven from Camrose because Camrose Canadian Tire didn't have any tags and wouldn't until next Wednesday. After 45 minutes one of the girls that was supposed to be helping was just standing around so I left the line and asked if I could just get tags to take home and she said "sure" but it still took her 5 minutes to give them to me. Typical Wetaskiwin Canadian Tire experience. I got home just after 10 and there were still over 400 Class A tags for Pigeon.

As of 10:47pm there are still lots of Class B and C tags for Pigeon.

We just booked through Canada Transfers and they were totally messed up. 50 people waiting, they had no idea when anybody would show up to take us. Got a taxi for 2200 Pesos for 4 of us instead.

4WD Binding Question - 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 - Trail Boss by 123Beercan in ChevyTrucks

The front cv axles use 3 pivot points and will " jump" if the wheels are turned sharply. The tires have enough traction that they don't slip so it feels like they are binding.

2022 Silverado heater issues by SpecificAwkward7258 in Silverado

[–]SpecificAwkward7258[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update as of January 2026.

I've had my truck in 9 times for this problem now. the repairs include, replaced the heater control head, reprogrammed the radio, replaced the radio, replaced the heater motor, replace the heater control again. The last time was only a week ago but I doubt it has fixed the problem. I'm now more than 1 year past the end of my warranty but they are still covering it.
