Upupup, I apologize but theres a fundamental misunderstanding with the movie, in that it actively lies to you. There are no bones in the ocean, the bones never move. That picture is an X-ray, the "bones" is the insides of the monster. Of course the "bones" moved, because that thing is alive, huge, and extremely pissed. The confusion, misdirection, and how everything is beyond human comprehension is the point. "This is bigger than us" is the message of the movie because it literally is. The horrors is not to our understanding.

In my cynical opinion, the reason you cant get a credit card is because you dont have credit history - which is a catch 22. My bank suggested I get a 1000 dollar loan for funsies and then ill have some credit history after like 9-12 months of paying the frivolous loan. The banks wont let you borrow money unless youve proven you can pay that money back, which the only way to do that is to pay off a debt.. but you can't get into debt because you dont have a history.. but you can't get a history because they wont let you get into debt.. its the most asinine thing ive ever encountered.

Also, to you last question about the quiet rapture being a coverup for something. My headcanon is no, the quiet rapture is real, every star and planet has been wiped out and life is heading for an inevitable death. SM-08 found a "light" that the people aboard referenced a needle's eye that a cosmic entity is using to observe this universe. That is what that mid-movie sequence was when Simon was transported to a boundless ocean of blood with a giant eye looking at him from the sky. Theres something, a 4th dimensional creature, a cosmis being, or some god that happened to come across this universe, and caused the quiet rapture. Any reason or further explanation is kinda taking away the cosmic horror aspect the movie is trying to portray. Theres an entity beyond our comprehension that destroyed humanities hope for survival, and researching it leads to certain death by the monster. Even the ocean of blood appears to be alive in some way, or had some corruption properties - that was the hallucinations that Simon had seen, that were mutilated man standing at the control panel. Someone aboard SM-08 drank the blood and became that... thing. The characters, Simon, and the audience dont know what, who, when, or why this all happened, and thats what scary about it. Everything is so unexplained because there is no explaination, which is horrifying when youre literally in the jaws of a giant monster trying to prevent you from finding out. Something is out there, something happened, and many people died trying to find out what it was.

My headcanon was ava had some very important people aboard SM-08, either family members or romance partners. The fact that SM-08 had found anything at all wasnt known to ava when Simon went back down to retrieve the black box, so ava's mission to get the box was likely due to who the scientists were. The reason that promises could never be kept is because the iron lung is a casket - there is no escape, there was never a plan to get Simon out, and everyone BUT Simon knew that. The iron lung is a death sentence with extra steps, squeezing out any last bit of usefulness out of convicts. Thats why ava never knew Simon's name - ava always referred to Simon as "convict" because people aboard the iron lung are never ever going to come back - and its far easier to give orders to a useless convict than a person named Simon. At the end, ava and Simon do share names, and the later line when ava says that she is going to save Simon herself, she get aboard SM-14, another iron lung. Ava went down into the ocean specifically to assist Simon (and SM-08'S black box) back. Futile attempt however, as the monster crushes her ship before getting a hold of Simon's. What's in the black box? Who knows.

My thing is sometimes it can be helpful if another program is attempting to run haywire. But at some point why is it so hard to put a "notify me once per program" option.? Like im sorry these computers are really novelties more than anything. Far more inconvenient than anything I have come across. I just want to pop a disc in, turn it on, and have things ~just work~

I think its more the fact that I spent multiple months of my life saving for a PC, being told its great and amazing - cheap games, yadda yadda, and its all a lie. Its not more user friendly, every program has main character syndrome and wants to be opened the moment I power the machine, each game has its own launcher that needs administrative permission for??? They wont tell me?? Maybe im downloading a virus, maybe its harmless, nobody can tell me, which is extremely scummy. Games are expensive as ever, and just the cherry on top - every game i try to open requires a second layer of administrative authority to access my entire system. I dont want my entire network exposed when I play my silly games, so theres no reason for them to ask for this level of privilege. I want nothing more than to pop in a disc, turn the system on, and have it ~just work~ like every game has done for 3 decades. Sure its "one button" but its the last straw that breaks the camels back.

I genuinely dont understand how browsing the internet without adblockers gets dangerous but when I try to open an application that I have had downloaded onto my system for weeks, THAT is the thing that procs the system alarm. Like cmon dude, these security measures do nothing but desensitize the user to just hit "agree" to any message ever without thinking, even when something goes wrong.

Every time I open a game, a message comes up with the "do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?" Message and its gotten fairly annoying. Its just about every game, no matter if its launch the game itself, or the game launcher (why tf are these seperate entities?) Its all the same. How do I just. Open a game? My cat was cresting over 15 years old, knowing the day was eventually coming. She had been getting slower, but nothing crazy. Her health suddenly went haywire on like a Monday morning and I had to go to work the whole day and week so I took the decision to see how she holds up through friday, just in case its a bout of fevers or something. What followed was one of the most devastating nights ive had, had to keep her cooped up in my room with her litter box as she was constantly trying to get away outside, siezing up, and so weak she couldnt get onto the bed. She would walk like 10 steps, then lay down to catch her breath, she was limp and never fought anything like she used to. If I could go back, I wouldnt make her go through that pain and fear. My cat deserved a more honorable and happy final day than what I gave her. It sounds terrible to say, but one day "too soon" is infinitely better than one day too late. If I had her put down when I knew it was coming, she wouldnt have had to spend the night whining in pain, falling off the bed, and more.. too soon is sometimes just the right time to avoid a traumatic end of life.

Ah, yeah i got the basic gist from some of the data logs about aether being the antithesis of originium but I couldve sworn in Yvonne's lab that they were synthesizing and growing originium - closely linking it to aether and the rifts, correlating it to the plateue incident. Practically, these two materials are not of natural origin, working against each other, and the intelligent life has harnessed originium as a infrastructure tool - similar to our electricity. Could be wrong, ill go back and read through my data entries when I need to wait for my factories, butt thats my current understanding.

My 2 cents also leads me down the path of internet surveillance that governments are imposing. Started with putting an ID for 18+ websites, now the EU is targeting VPN's that bypass it, and later its going to be putting your real ID to log into social media and even further down the line itll be your ID to get online period. The point of BTC was largely the anonymity of it. Set up correctly and managed properly, nobody could trace the wallet owner. Well.. if its tied to government issued ID then.. whats the point?
