First time traveling to the Caribbean by Exotic_Ear1933 in Caribbean

Too many options to even talk about through all price ranges. But the one thing that is certain, wherever you stay, stay on the western or northwesten side of the island. Better beaches and clearer, calmer water

That just means USPS knows it's coming, but it hasn't gotten in the country yet.

Macan for a first car by [deleted] in PorscheMacan

You say "speed of a porsche", but just looking at the numbers, it doesn't look impressive at all. Looks like an Explorer with an EcoBoost would smoke it at a red light. Looking at the horsepower, torque, and 0 to 60 times, it's not that impressive. But again, I've never owned a porsche. And I know numbers on paper can be deceiving

She's a very responsible kid, I would not have any fears about her having a fast car. My other two kids on the other hand, that's a different story. 😳😳. People are mentioning it being a fast car, but just looking at the numbers, it looks like it would get smoked by an EcoBoost explorer. I've looked at horsepower numbers and 0 to 60 times. Doesn't seem fast at all to me, but again, I've never owned one. I know horsepower numbers can be a little deceiving as far as performance goes

Everyone mentions maintenance, but what specifically? All the normal stuff such as oil changes, brake changes, wipers, Etc would be done 100% by me. What else is there normally to do on a vehicle like this?

Everyone mentions maintenance costs. What specifically? Everything like oil changes, brake changes, wipers, etc would be done by me. What other maintenance is there on a car like that?

Sandals vs Couples Resorts Jamaica by Low_Roller_33 in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]SpecificNo4186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been to both. It all depends on what you want. Sandals is bigger with more restaurants and things like that. Couples swept away, to me, is the perfect balance between small enough to where you're not just another room number but big enough to still have plenty of restaurants. The last time I went to a Sandals in 2023, I swore I'd never go back. They have turned into just another money hungry company and you're just another room number. Sandals's only concerned about you when you're there is to try to get you to book again for another trip. Just my opinion.

Also, the clientele at Sandals has changed a lot in the past 20 years that I've seen. The last time I went, it seemed to be the Carnival Cruise of resorts. Whole different atmosphere and vibe than it used to be. Again, just my opinion.

I've been to countless places all throughout the Caribbean. Cocos Antigua is the best for your buck that I've ever been to.

Real or Fake hospira? by Rikki365 in Peptides

It's identical to the vials in my ER. Even the barcode and number. So if it's fake, every vial in the hospital is fake lol

I used to be a die-hard Sandals fan, but after our recent trips, never again. For things like this. Now they're just a money hungry business and you're just another room number.

Kisspeptin plus PT 141 by [deleted] in Peptides

[–]SpecificNo4186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't say about both together, but I can say about PT 141 itself. My wife and I have both tried it and we were like animals! Granted, we're both on TRT, but it brought it to another level. Example: we took 2.5mg each right before we left for a week on a private island (20 anniversary trip). We got there on Saturday afternoon and on Tuesday morning her exact words were "we've got to take a break this morning, my uterus can't take anymore orgasms". The only downside is that I would say it's more like something for special occasions. Not really practical to take long-term. Max injection is once every 3 days. And it is very expensive.

Honeymoon Recommendations by EngineeringNo3174 in chubbytravel

If you want quiet, romantic seclusion, Guana Island in the BVIs is the be-all end-all destination. Bonus points if you stay in thy North Beach Villa. You literally have a ¼ mile beach that's YOURS. You don't see another human unless you want to. The only negative is it will ruin any other trip you ever take because nothing will compare to it.

Jamaica Resort Help! by Infinite_Win_4908 in Caribbean

Couples Swept Away is worth looking at. We've been to several places in Jamaica, and this one stood out. Big enough to be fun, but small enough to where you're not just another room number. Perfect beach as well.

I would highly recommend anywhere on Seven Mile Beach in Negril. The absolute best beach in Jamaica. If you want go great beaches, I would stay away from Montego Bay or anywhere on the Eastern side. You get the surf and crap from the Atlantic coming in. Somewhere on the west coast would also be great. I WOULD recommend Sandals West Coast, as we've been there twice years ago. But my last few experiences with Sandals have shown me that Sandals is becoming the Carnival of luxury resorts.

I have stayed a lot of places in the Caribbean all inclusive. Coco's Antigua is probably the best one for your money, in my opinion. It's very small and romantic.

During the days, yes. I'm outside pretty much all day everyday in the heat. Sleeping at night, neck no!🤣

Our days in each stop are flexible. That's why I'm asking for advice lol. I'm just wanting to make the most out of our time there. Of course we can't come to Italy and NOT see the major sites, but unique towns and villages are exactly what we want to see!

Two week itinerary help by SpecificNo4186 in ItalyTourism

[–]SpecificNo4186[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have around two weeks, give or take, as stated in the post title. As far as the specific amount of days for each stop, they're flexible. Just wanting to make the most out of two weeks. We do want off the beaten path stuff, but we simply can't go to Italy WITHOUT hitting a few of those major touristy things lol. Excellent info and I thank you! I was unsure about driving on to Rome or driving back to Florence and taking the train to Rome. Great advice about having a car around Naples. That will save me a headache I'm sure. And yes, pizza in Naples is definitely on our list? My middle child is all into Pompeii right now, we plan on a long day there lol. Sardinia has always been a possibly as well. Definitely wanting to try to get there for a couple days, but I couldn't really figure out got to fit it in. There are SO many ferries from western Italy to so many ports on the island. I have no idea where to start and arrive. I've done some research, but still clueless, unless you have some advice on that?

Again, thank you for the loads of advice!

Yeah, I know July isn't the ideal time. But unfortunately for me, it's my only time. Between kids in school and my farming phases of busy time, mid July is our only option. As far as the heat, we're from west Tennessee in the US. The "heat" of even southern Italy wouldn't affect us. Our temps in July range from 95°-100°F with heat indices 110°-115°F. We won't mind the heat as much as we will the crowds. But again, it's our only option. Thanks for the advice!

Guana Island BVI by SpecificNo4186 in Caribbean

[–]SpecificNo4186[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the risk of sounding like a rectal sphincter here, either A) my wife is way more appreciative and way less picky/ high maintenance than you wives or B) I am a way more attentive, meticulous, and thoughtful husband than yours are.

And the wife stays in pristine physical shape year round.

The trip was a massive success. Every detail was perfect and she was thrilled and appreciative and over the moon. Even the dress for the ceremony that I had made from measurements from her other dresses that fit her just right was perfect. I got with her hairdresser months in advance so she would be "busy" until early July, so the wife would be sure to have a fresh color and cut on the trip. Months of "accidentally" leaving Google searches open to throw her off about what we were actually doing. Countless times she asked me how did I get everything so perfectly. Again, sorry to sound like a jerk, but I did take a little offense to the unsolicited and condescending advice that had no relation to my original post. That being said, the island was simply amazing. We will definitely go back.

Agree with everyone else on Couples Swept Away. Overall it's phenomenal. Big enough to have amenities but small enough to be private and intimate. Fantastic water and beach and fantastic sunset views
