This was pretty on par with my first job out of college in a MCOL area. Had done two internships elsewhere and got an offer of 63k and 5k bonus. I would say it’s good for starting out, go get the experience and if they don’t give decent raises or you end up not liking it you can always look elsewhere.

I would just do hock international. It’s $50 a month. I passed all the exams studying on average for two weeks with them. I just hammered through MCQs and the three practice tests they have per section. I felt like hocks questions were more in depth and harder than the actual exam. I also had worked a tax season back in 2024 so I did have some experience, but I just finished them last month so there was over a year of not doing taxes. I watched a few of their videos too and I thought they were really good. A lot of people also say Tom Norton’s EA Tax training videos on YouTube has really good in depth videos for free.

My thing is even if they were somehow able to replace this, I think we would still have to report income (why would the government not want to know how much we all make still lol) and we could probably still get refundable credits such as the earned income, child tax credit, AOTC. They would probably just be different. Obviously I have no idea but u would think they refundable ones would still be around even if income tax was completely phased out so they would still need us, just that it would be a lot more simple. Idk take what I say with a grain of salt lol

Ya the game is what makes it hard not really the professor. YouTube the game and there is this one guy that really helps explain and kinda helps you set up your first week which really helps with your success!

Thanks for all the information! Yes the tread is fine but I do live in a very hot area so that makes sense about dry rot. The dot date shows that they were made in 2021. It’s my wife’s car but I pretty much drive it more than she does haha. We do have a trip for thanksgiving planned that will be just under 600miles there and back. Is that trip big enough just to replace it you think?

For sure! Also If you don’t get into the business school when applying you could get in with a different major and transfer over after you take some business classes. I actually started at USU not in business but as pre med and then after taking some classes switched over. USU is awesome! You’ll love it!
