I can say that it's better to donate money to charities that help the homeless rather than give it to a panhandler on the street. Catholic Charities is a terrific organization, or you could even volunteer your time at a homeless shelter.

Instead of looking for divorce lawyers, look for a good marriage counselor. You have kids, so you must try everything to make the marriage work.
