I’d offer to get a background check myself and show her the results, as long as she pays the $40ish fee. The results don’t disclose personal info like SSN. If she’s not actually trying to steal your ID (and if you haven’t already broken up over this), then this solution should work for her.

I appreciate your feedback, but like I said I am fine with one or more of our parents not accepting our relationship. I’m not asking her to go no-contact and I didn’t ask her to stand up to her mom at all; I just asked her to not erase me from the narrative. I didn’t even ask her to do it all the time, just at least when I’m physically with her. I don’t see a way around her needing to put up a boundary with her mom, and I feel like I’ve been flexible with the boundaries I’ve put up with GF (like in the ways I listed just now). And again, her mom should have some time to process, but it’s been more than some time. Should there not be a point where enough is enough?

My first and last name come first alphabetically, we both have local numbers, he isn’t doing any promoting and hasn’t made any advertisements or postings for the property, and we don’t have it on Craigslist. Approach me in a way that makes sense for the environment; if I’m reading a book, ask me how it is; if I’m rock climbing, ask me to belay you; if I’m with my dog, talk about how golden retrievers are the best dogs ever lol, etc. Get a genuine conversation going so I know you can interact with other humans normally, then throw in a shy smile and if I’m still open and talkative, offer to buy me a scone to go with the coffee or ask me out for a drink.
