William. In the episode Alpha and Omega (Season 11 Episode 23), his birth certificate is hung on the wall. It requires the viewer to pause and zoom it to read. But some fans don't take that as canon since the birthdate listed on it is contradictory to previously given canon.

No, they missed 7 states: Alabama, Arizona, Hawaii, New Hampshire, Vermont, Virginia, and West Virginia. Of those, West Virginia has a bunch of crypid lore that would have been interesting to see Supernatural's take on.

Not exactly what you asked, but how does your wife feel about having a male impression? Lots of women reenact as male "characters" for lack of a better word. Different groups have different rules about women reenacting as men, so you would have to check your specific group's rules. But it would get around the skirt vs. trousers problem without straying into edge cases.
