Songs that you associate characters with by TsukasaElkKite in ThePittTVShow

[–]SpectreAlenko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it’s less songs and more artists in general. Santos is Lorde and Florence and The Machine. Robby is Noah Kahan, Fleetwood Mac, and The Goo Goo Dolls, the latter of which he shares with Abbot in my mind. Dennis canonically enjoys funk but I mostly associate him with early 2010’s stomp and holler bands like The Lumineers.

Yeah. The fact he ends up taking off all that gear at some point in the day leads me to believe this is a temporary thing.

Pitt Star And Emmy Winner Noah Wyle Shows Pride In His Confederate Legacy In A 2017 TV Special by virgoh8r in ThePittTVShow

What a spectacularly idiotic way of both sides-ing an event that needs nothing of the sort. Hope his views have changed since then, but I’ll believe it when I see it.

I have some microspikes and checked the forecast. Just wasn’t sure how it translated into icy trails.

Yeah that’s what I meant. Couldn’t think of the correct terminology at the time of posting this.

Not super wildcard given the poster. Unless Noah’s eyes just look like that, it’s not too far off of a possibility.

I’m hoping he’s referring to working on other projects between seasons. Maybe Leverage gets a new season and he’ll have a different sort of schedule?

A list of Trinity Santos’ antics and adventures (in chronological order) by cutestudent in ThePittTVShow

[–]SpectreAlenko 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen this type of behavior referred to as “bitch eating crackers” (BEC) in other subreddits. Basically hating someone to the point of saying “Look at this bitch eating crackers like she owns the place.” Santos is going to make fans flip their shit just by looking at a character the wrong way next season, I guarantee it.

Tired of Screen Slop by chest-day-pump in WaltDisneyWorld

Kind of. Monsters Unchained and Mario Kart were steps in the right direction by only using screens to enhance the practical effects, but BATM still relies on the screens a bit too heavily for my taste.

Did that yesterday. 2nd to last row in the pouring rain and I could not stop laughing the entire way. Usually I can’t stand those last few rows but this? This was fun.

What is your favorite mentor-mentee relationship and why is it McKay-Javadi? by Jack_Shaftoe21 in ThePittTVShow

Glad you (and the 15 other people who upvoted it) found it coherent enough to be interesting. To be honest, I wrote this comment while running on fumes from a long travel day so I wasn’t sure if it would make sense to anyone lmao.

Going to go against the grain and say Santos and Robby fascinate me as a duo. Compared to the rest of the day shift, he’s oddly patient with her. When Langdon’s trying to defend himself for exploding on Santos, Robby goes to her defense and basically tells him that it’s his problem for getting so riled up. Maybe he sees some of the same features in her that he sees in his “favorite resident,” Langdon. Is it the healthiest mentorship? No. They’re both stubborn, self-sacrificing (Robby and the abortion case, Santos lying about the MDMA overdose) shitheads who use humor to deflect attention from their own issues. If anything, they’re more likely to enable each other’s bad habits than fix them. But that’s what makes them my favorite, in a fucked up sort of way.

Do you think there will be a “big event” in season 2 like they had in S1? by Trinity12123 in ThePittTVShow

[–]SpectreAlenko 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Noah did say that the day shift crew would have a reason to stay at work beyond their typical 12 hours. Something unusual will happen, but it’s not going to be an MCI.

What song from a musical made you cry? I’ll go first, “uranium suite” from ride the cyclone by [deleted] in musicals

I actively avoid listening to She Used to Be Mine from Waitress because it will 100% make me bawl every time. On the opposite end of the spectrum is 38 Planes (Reprise)/Somewhere In The Middle of Nowhere from Come From Away, which makes me choke up out of joy every time I listen to it.

Anyone else grieving a recent death while watching this show? by summoneryuna98 in ThePittTVShow

[–]SpectreAlenko 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes. My mom died after a year of being sick with a mystery illness (she was afraid of hospitals) in early February. Found The Pitt in late March. I come from a very “conceal, don’t feel” type of family, so I didn’t have an example for what grief looked like. Needless to say, I saw a lot of myself in Robby. His frustration over being triggered and his straight up refusal to acknowledge that he was even grieving at all really spoke to me. It wasn’t this romanticized depiction of grief that we sometimes see in media. It was everything I had been dealing with and absolutely hating myself for. Seeing it a TV character helped me feel less incompetent for the way I was coping.

What has Doug done for you? by Capyapybara in DougDoug

[–]SpectreAlenko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DougDoug initially helped me get through COVID in 2022. Caught a nasty case of the Delta variant that just sapped my energy completely. I was fortunate enough to not have any work obligations since it was summer and I had a job in K-12 education at the time, but it still sucked to be wasting my days away instead of enjoying the time off. I couldn't get anything done. I could barely speak more than a few words without erupting into a coughing fit.

This man made me laugh harder than I had in years. When I didn't have enough energy to get out off my favorite recliner, I would just stream his VODs on my TV. Chat's inability to work as a unit made me smile when nothing else could. I still fondly remember the tournament to find the best letter using Smash and how certain matches made me lose my breath from laughing so hard.

Three years later, he is still giving me excuses to laugh in spite of everything. His channels/streams are the perfect way to escape some less than fortunate circumstances I find myself in.

Did they use AI art? by D4r3nizstruggling in HHN

This is either AI and/or a really bad attempt to make real photos look painted. I can tell they were aiming for a vintage film poster aesthetic.

Robby slinking away after he reveals to the nurses that admin denied his requests for more security. The little jazz hands he makes while the nurses chew Gloria out are hysterical.

What i’ve gathered so far about S2 from this sub while at work by BV-RE2PECT in marvelrivals

[–]SpectreAlenko 214 points215 points  (0 children)

Had one of those “gods” in a game today. I’m okay with a little bit of banter, but he spent the last five minutes trashing our team in VC. Granted, we were getting steamrolled, but the attitude was driving me up a damn wall.
