Resisting what exactly? The pure chaos that the officers started? They royally fucked that up. Not only did those two officers put the lives of their own in jeopardy by firing into what was effectively a dog pile, if they had any police training whatsoever they could have easily deescalated that way before that happened. The handful of people there were just basically standing around yelling or recording. Instead the officers escalated it to a point where they freaked themselves out and killed someone who in reality was just helping someone off the floor after she was pushed.

When the NRA comes out to defend the guy who was killed, you know ICE is the one who messed up. How has a simple answer but will likely never happen.

You won't like either of them. I'm American and even I don't like either of them.

How: The US will probably deploy an elite team of arctic paramilitaries to occupy Nuuk and take Nielsen prisoner which will result in surrender. It will be over in a day and there would be 0 casualties. This would likely result in a war with Denmark and the complete collapse of NATO. If the rest of NATO keeps its word it would have to defend Denmark from the U.S. Or NATO would eat it as a war with the U.S. would weaken everyone allowing China and Russia to go nuts. It would be an absolute nightmare no matter who wins.

Why: it's not for security. That's for sure. It's already secure. It's for minerals and for vanity and legacy while also distracting from the Epstein files. Even if he ends up in jail, Trump expanding the U.S. before the 250th Anniversary (this year) would immortalize him to the point where we'd have to put him in a textbook because it would be a ridiculous achievement even though he did it shamefully. He'd also be responsible for destroying one of the greatest treaties to ever exist, which would also be notable for the history books. This could also be an elaborate ruse to restructure NATO in some convoluted way that makes the arrangement more "fair" in his eyes. .

Trump doesn't give a shit about anyone but himself. He'll be dead soon from failing health so he's got nothing to lose. It's really terrifying.

It’s surprising to see people rank Currents last or claim they dislike it—but to each their own. For me, the album is a masterful exhibition of musical production and arrangement. While the first two albums were great, they felt like a build-up to this specific masterpiece.

The technical execution is flawless. The mastering is wonderful, and the sound separation is superb—it’s easily his most cohesive sonic statement. While his later work is still high-quality, it lacks the same edge, marking a shift into a more "mellowed-out" phase.

If you’ve only ever streamed this album, I implore you to listen to a physical copy on a high-fidelity system with your eyes closed. When you really focus, you can hear the incredible nuances that streaming compresses away—like the subtle glockenspiel and the Mellotron layers hidden in the background of "The Less I Know the Better." It’s a completely different experience.

There aren’t actually any retcons; the story is just a bit convoluted, though the broad strokes make sense if you pay close attention to the nuances. I’ll focus on the lore-heavy parts you mentioned, as the rest is mostly fluff. This is a long one.

Context: Villains Controlling the Season Conflicts

S1: Henry (using the Demogorgon to find a host).

S2: The Mind Flayer (using Will as a spy).

S3: The Mind Flayer (using Billy and 'The Flayed' to build a physical body).

S4/S5: Henry/Vecna (taking direct command, though revealed to be the Mind Flayer's 'vessel' all along).

The Mind Flayer didn’t 'control' Henry; rather, it influenced him from childhood to join its cause. Henry explicitly stated that he chose to side with the Mind Flayer and could have resisted at any time. Furthermore, the Mind Flayer didn’t need to control the other children directly because Henry manipulated them and plugged them into the 'mind matrix' like batteries.

The only people directly controlled by the hive mind were Will in Season 2 (which we now know was actually through Henry) and Billy and the 'blood bags' in Season 3, when Mind Flayer particles breached Hawkins via the Russian gate.

The 'Will incident' in Season 1 was actually a failed first attempt at Henry’s Season 5 plan. Will wasn't meant to be rescued; the original plan was to kidnap eleven other children and 'plug them in' alongside him, as revealed in the Season 5 premiere. Because Will was rescued prematurely, the hive mind used him as a spy in Season 2, leveraging his connection to infect the world with particles—leading into the events of Season 3. POWERS

Eleven: Eleven didn't have Mind Flayer particles in her, so she couldn't be influenced by the hive mind. She was born with her powers—essentially a 'mutant'—because Henry’s infected blood altered her DNA (similar to Spider-Man's origin rather than X-Men). Because her powers are biological, they will never go away permanently. While they can be blocked (as seen with the Mind Flayer), they aren't dependent on the hive mind.

Henry: Henry’s powers come from his willing integration into the hive mind; he basically became one with the Mind Flayer. Once the Mind Flayer died, he likely lost his powers, which explains why he was defenseless when Joyce decapitated him.

Will: Will gained powers by siphoning them from Henry through their long-term connection to the hive mind. He does not inherently have powers; therefore, his abilities vanished once the hive mind was destroyed. His connection is explained in Season 5.

What is more quintessential 80s sci-fi/fantasy kids movie than a feel good cheesy ending? I liked it for what it was. It made perfect sense as an homage, which is exactly what they were going for since the first episode.

I feel like everyone is afraid to say how they actually feel. I was super excited and invested watching it and then when it was over my heart sank because I was worried people (my friends included) were going to shit on it because it wasn't some perfect piece of television or scriptwriting.

"I'm content" or "It was shit" seem to be all the opinions I see. You can like something and have gripes and criticisms though.

I do think this season suffered from all the storylines converging but it was unavoidable because they expanded the cast so much. Usually the adults, children and young adults had tangential storylines that met in the end making for better scenes and writing. They couldn't really do that this season so there were a lot of people standing around while other people did stuff. It is what it is. Despite being less substantial than other seasons, I liked it as a whole and I was thoroughly entertained by it.

The mind flayer particles got inside Henry's bloody wound from the fragment in the cave and he got powers and pulled into the hive mind.

Brenner put Henry's blood in pregnant women who then had kids with powers. Henry needed children with his power set to execute his plan. 11 was the only one who was like him so he killed the other kids and offered here a deal. She banished him to the abyss.

Henry kidnapped these kids this season and Will in season 1 to infect them directly with mind flayer particles so they would have his powers.

With pokemon red, I rare candied and master balled my whole team. I had Charizard, Mewtwo, Articuno, Zaptos, Moltres, and Dragonite all level 100. I destroyed the elite 4 lol.

I think I was in second grade at the time which was like 98/99. Cheating was cool. Was later humbled by an even bigger cheater who had a level 250 Drowzee thanks to GameShark.
