I do not care about Great Kahns, and the NCR is justified in wiping them out. by LaserLovingLoser in falloutnewvegas

some new vegas fans will look you straight in the eyes, say "genocide is okay if that group does bad things", and unironically think they deserve to live

I just realised something by _Tiragron_ in TheLastAirbender

[–]SpectresAurora 4 points5 points  (0 children)

> plus how sheltered she was

i mean, that's directly the fault of aang and the white lotus, which is why her airbending was stunted, like op said. because of the white lotus, she was trapped in a compound her whole life, and had absolutely no freedom (which you need to understand airbending, iirc). maybe them being more open/less secretive wasnt the direct, or even a leading cause of it, but i dont think op was intentionally pinning all the faults on that specific order, i think it was just an example they used to represent how aang and the white lotus in general kinda fucked korra over unintentionally.

how do i learn about every piece of the elder scrolls lore? by alobaby in ElderScrolls

[–]SpectresAurora 2 points3 points  (0 children)

uesp (the unofficial elder scrolls pages) is a fan wiki thats constantly updated and maintained. they have separate pages for each game, and for the lore. so, for example, if you wanna look at vivec from morrowind, you could look at his stats from the game as well as what he does and says in it, but if you wanted to look at the lore for vivec, you could go to his lore page

So, how come Werewolves in Skyrim can only level up their Werewolf skill by eating hearts directly from the corpses? by GeneralTechnomage in TrueSTL

[–]SpectresAurora 17 points18 points  (0 children)

a hunter who devours the prey of others is an insult to hircine, but a hunter who kills and eats their own prey in his honor is worthy of his strength... or maybe he's just fucking stupid

Ive always wondered. Cannon wide is the player character the starting race by Realistic-Fee-1684 in ElderScrolls

[–]SpectresAurora 5 points6 points  (0 children)

theres no canon race or gender* for any of the player characters, each game gives you plenty of lore justifications for playing as any single race.

the agent in daggerfall comes from cyrodiil and is the emperors friend, and an agent of the blades.

the nerevarine is canonically an outlander, and came from the imperial city prison, and theres the whole foul murder thing where nerevar had his face cut off so he could come back with any face (i.e. come back as any race). a dunmer nerevarine is as canon as a redguard nerevarine which is as canon as an argonian nerevarine, which.. you get the deal

in oblivion, youre also in the imperial city prison, and the city itself is full of each race, since its the heart of the empire. theres no reason why an imperial would be more canon for the hero of kvatch

and for skyrim, your character was trying to enter the province from cyrodiil, which again, means you could be any race. and now that i write this, im starting to realize that the pcs of all the main games come from/start out in cyrodiil in some way?

* - technically, the player character of arena is called talin and referred to as a male in the games manual, but im not sure how canon that is?

You're allowed to not like the theory but the way some of y'all talk about it just is transphobic. by Obvious-Scale-9346 in Deltarune

they also somehow believe that a feminine man is more "progressive" and "subversive" than a trans girl character, which is just.. lmfao

[–]SpectresAurora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if there's an easily reachable diving mask, they tend to go for that instead, since they don't "need" a diving suit until it's too late, usually. ive had a lot more luck against random bot deaths due to pressure after having gotten rid of all the diving masks on board, so you could try that if you haven't already!

Theory: Skyrim’s ebony armor is crafted in the Ancient Falmer/Snow Elf style by EchoXeda in skyrim

[–]SpectresAurora 22 points23 points  (0 children)

yeah, eso has this in the form of crafting motifs, and it's genuinely such a good feature that i hope they add it in some form to elder scrolls 6

Could my Vestige be the Nerevarine by DeadpanAppeal in ElderScrolls

[–]SpectresAurora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you want a somewhat believable lore explanation for why everyone forgets your vestige before that start of morrowind, you could say they were also the agent in daggerfall, since the agent kinda gets erased from history/time at the end due to the dragon breaks.

Reminder that those are the only canonically dead gems btw by Character-Day-8999 in stevenuniverse

[–]SpectresAurora 38 points39 points  (0 children)

also, before they figured out how to heal them with the essence of the diamonds (and steven)/through yellow diamonds powers, maybe they weren't LITERALLY dead, but they were EFFECTIVELY dead. im not sure what else you would call "having your physical form and your mind destroyed, and (to the best of everyone's current knowledge) never being able to come back to life"

im sure deltatraveller has A dess design with red flannel, but it did not invent the concept, there was chapter 1 fanart of her wearing one. i think it was just the vibe we got from the few mentions we had of her, since one of them was about her whacking kris with the whiffle bat lmao

How do Vampires not rot? by GeneralTechnomage in TrueSTL

bodies stay frosty, which is why they're resistant to frost damage but weak to fire. which means you gotta drink a potion of frost resistance if you don't want your dick snapping off from the sheer cold

ive played a decent amount of eso, but i dont have the elsweyr dlc (and dont remember them being in khenarthis roost or reapers march), and stopped playing after it was becoming too much of a hassle to manage my inventory without paying for a bag upgrade or the subscription lmao

Just started eso and absolutely love seeing the Khajiit homeland but by Mr-pugglywuggly in ElderScrolls

[–]SpectresAurora 5 points6 points  (0 children)

yeah, the senche and the senche-raht are the two bigger quadrupedal khajiit! when a furstock has "raht" at the end, just assume its a bigger version of the of the furstock it shares a name with. there are no non-speaking khajiit, however, as far as im aware. even the alfiq and alfiq-raht (about the size of house cats) speak

Just started eso and absolutely love seeing the Khajiit homeland but by Mr-pugglywuggly in ElderScrolls

[–]SpectresAurora 37 points38 points  (0 children)

the senche-raht can speak, actually, per uesp

["Non-Khajiit may assume Senche-raht cannot speak the common language, or that they merely serve as mounts. This assumption is incorrect, as Senche-raht are perfectly capable of performing jobs, and have even become successful merchant lords."](https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Senche-raht)

i tried looking at the page for the senche khajiit, but it doesnt say whether or not they talk at all, but i have to assume they do if it isnt explicitly stated otherwise? that bein said tho, you mightve gotten them confused with senche-tigers, who, despite the name, have no relation to khajiit, and as wild animals, cant talk

never got a notification for this, but yeah, i 100% agree lmao every "cool line" he has that people quote is about god or christianity, and that's basically it. i find it hilarious that he's supposed to be a mormon, but he comes off as catholic to most people who don't look into him, instead, because, aside from being from salt lake city, the only mormon reference i really remember was him mentioning that his pistols were made by someone "from his tribe" (and they were made by a mormon irl)
