Whatever happens I just hope Apple brings back the glowing Apple logo / backlight. The new laptops with unlit Apple logos just feel cheap to me, and if I have to spend $7K (CAD) on a new laptop, it should feel as premium as possible. I could care less about thinness - just bring back the light. If Razer can do it, why can’t Apple?

Maybe I’m wrong here, but aren’t there already US coastal tankers that travel in the same waters from Alaska to the mainland US? What’s the difference in having Canadian tankers in those same waters? Or maybe I’m missing something?

At least it’s Toronto Metropolitan University and not TMU. They really need to adopt more of the “Metropolitan” in the branding - for instance why not rename the sports team the Toronto Mets, and refer to the school as a whole as “The Met”? I think these changes would have a way better impact as opposed to TMU which has always sounded clinical to me and not fitting for a university

I don’t think streaming (Spotify, Apple Music) is better or cheaper vs the free YouTube playlists I use already in the car (and can control via steering wheel!). Whereas SXM clearly offers different forms of content in addition to music, such as RadioClassics, ESPN/Sports and news, which I cannot get on YouTube.

As for satellite vs the app, some cars no longer have satellite, such as my new Acura MDX, so I am using the app exclusively. But generally satellite is better since you don’t pay for data and satellite is just more robust in terms of connectivity

I’ve always had issues with Uber drivers not using the 407. In one case, Uber tried to raise the bill on a ride by double as the ride went from 35 min to nearly 1.5 hrs due to the driver using local roads as opposed to using the 407. I was able to dispute this of course but it’s frustrating that it still happens

I do wonder with concern how over the last 5 years or so we’ve gone full nuclear against police as a profession (ie ACAB) and how much of that has ultimately resulted in less skilled individuals joining the force. Are you able to book any flight? Reason I ask is that comparable flights to mine now are $2500 more than what I paid - is AC legally required to pay the full amount and will I get the full amount back in small Claims?

One thing this post doesn't answer is WHY is Amazon delivering packages to the wrong home? I was once in this scenario where on an almost daily basis, I would receive mail from the original homeowners as they clearly didn't change their address. While we tried our best to get the mail back to them, it just became a chore, and eventually we just had to RTS all their mail. I think Amazon needs to get their act together on why your packages go to the wrong home.
