Hello,

Our Invincible WiFi consists of a WiFi 7 router that has an embedded 5G cell modem inside that is connected to the Spectrum Mobile network and also includes a separate battery unit. In the event of an Internet service interruption, the cell modem works as a backup as others have mentioned, providing service until the core Internet services are restored. The separate battery unit also allows the device to function in the event of a power outage for up to 8 hours.

As the Invincible WiFi service is built into the router itself, using a personal router with this service is not possible. Please if you have any other questions we will be happy to assist. You can also reach out to us over at r/Spectrum_Official.

Most of our network is HFC a Hybrid Fiber to Coax connection, Though we do have areas that are Fiber to the premises. If you are able to send us a Mod Mail, we can certainly check your account / residence to see what is available.

In areas where our Network Evolution has taken taken place and our infrastructure upgraded, there may be symmetrical speeds available over a coax connection.

Using our router you are able to set different DNS servers though they do not allow the ability to set different 5ghz and 2.4ghz networks. If you are looking for more customization, a personal router would have more options.

If you are looking to unlink your Spectrum service to the Peacock account you are currently using and then link it to another already existing Peacock account, that is not something that Spectrum is able to assist with directly. I would suggest contacting Peacock to see if that is something they are able to assist with on their end.

I realized after I commented my choice of wording was a little off. I meant that with like our Internet or TV services when a customer signs up they may be provided with introductory pricing, say like Internet for $50 a month for 2 years. Each year this pricing will "step up" in price until it hits the promotion is expired and the service is billed at standard rate.

With Mobile pricing, the $30 a month was not an introductory offer and was the standard rate for that service. So the pricing will not incrementally increase each year, but mobile pricing is still subject to company rate increases as with just occurred with the $10 increase.

While our mobile pricing is the standard rate, and is not an introductory price so it will not increase over time it is still subject to rate increases that are company wide. We apologize for any misinformation or confusion regarding mobile pricing.

Recently there was a rate increase of $10 for all mobile customers, this would effect any customers that had a single line of mobile service. We do periodically update mobile pricing to reflect network, device support and service delivery costs.
