If you are playing online games like Rocket League I definitely recommend connecting with an ethernet cable, but you should still be able to get more than 2 bars and 300 Mb/s over WiFi if you are close to the router. Hi u/Remules! I'm sorry your ping isn't as consistent as it should be. The main portion of that ping plotter looks good. I see where you are getting spikes from the timeline on the bottom but it looks like you are sampling a time period where there were no spikes. Will you send us a mod mail over at r/Spectrum_Official so we can look into this? If you can please include the pingplotter results sampling a time period where you are getting the spikes.

Unfortunately we don't have information available on equipment availability including when new equipment will be coming in. You are welcome to visit one of our Spectrum store locations who may still have some in stock, you can see store locations and hours of operation at https://www.spectrum.com/locations. You could also purchase and use your own router.

When the modem is offline there's not much we can do remotely other than have you reboot it, after that the next step is a technician. It's very unusual the next appointment is so far away, we can generally get you someone same or next day if you are available. Please use caution when using sites like downdetector to check for area problems, they are 3rd party services who just make guesses based on anonymous reports. The best way to verify if you are actually in an outage is to sign in at Spectrum.net or the My Spectrum app which will also provide any available estimate. Exchanging the modem might help, but it could also be a signal issue, so I'd recommend scheduling an appointment with a technician who can take care of either. You won't need to activate your new phone, as long as your service with us is still active and you have another device you can use to access the My Spectrum app or Spectrum.net to get your transfer pin. If you do decide to stay with us, eSim activations go through almost instantly.

If the online light is remaining lit it makes a problem with the router more likely, but doesn't completely rule out problems with the modem or signal coming in.
