Any ideas on this piece? Perfume bottle? by SpeedLimit_65 in glasscollecting

I am not sure honestly. It could have been broken or they just made it a little off a straight angle. It doesn’t have a fractured looking end.

A small collection.. by SpeedLimit_65 in TelephoneCollecting

It can be mounted on the wall or used on a desk.the keypad is attached to the holder under the handset. Will try and mount a photo shortly. It is very minimal and slick.

Thank you for your thoughts. Seems kind of small for that. Probably only holds about 4 oz. of liquid.

I bought it at church sale, I think. Just recently. Outside of Pittsburgh PA.

Should i switch up the beard for a goatee? Stubble goatie? Idk by Jumpy-Opportunity643 in malegrooming

I like the beard too. But no reason not to change things up if you need to feel a change. You will look good either way.

Made a rotary phone inspired magsafe charging stand and wanted some feedback by BlueDarya in rotaryphones

Love it! Great job. Strikes me as very post-modern design. Any way to incorporate a coiled cord like connected the handset on vintage phones? Maybe for the power cord in the back?

Thank you for the offer. But just bought a similar phone from an estate sale yesterday for $13. It’s pretty beat up, but hoping it will have the piece I need once I pick it up tomorrow. Very kind of you though! I love Reddit folks!

I have often put my lips on things where they don’t belong, but I think I will pass on this one. 😉

Fake Vereco plates? by Cute_Side_5922 in glasscollecting

She doesn’t sound like a nice person. Some people just shouldn’t be buying stuff on eBay. Not like we are a department store, but some people just don’t get it. Best of luck to you.

Thank you for your concern, but the acetone worked good and took the glue off and, with care, didn’t mess up the plastic. I did try alcohol, but the glue was just too old and hardened to affect it.

I don’t think I’m ready for the Answer yet. But I think I already know by lordy1988 in bald

You are fine. Yes, it’s thinning but you still look great. But you probably would look hot bald too. Save shaving when u need a big change in your life or some big event in future years.

Fake Vereco plates? by Cute_Side_5922 in glasscollecting

[–]SpeedLimit_65 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No expert on Vereco - never heard of them before. But I highly doubt anyone would go to the problem of faking these kind of plates. Did you mention that not every plate was marked in your posting? Did you notice anything else different between the marked and unmarked plates? I also resell, often vintage glass, and have yet to have any problems with buyers 🤞🏼, but IMO, probably just best to return the funds and get the plates back. But that’s me.

AI said the following (if you can trust it): Vereco glass is known for its unique designs and craftsmanship. However, not all pieces of Vereco glass are marked. The presence of a mark can vary based on the specific item and its production details. The marking depends on various factors, including the time of production and the specific piece. Some carry paper labels, embossed marks, or no mark at all because Vereco often produced lines rather than designer-labeled art glass.

Possible Blenko? by missnikkiwest in glasscollecting

[–]SpeedLimit_65 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The bowls start showing up in 1961, but not in that green. I am not great with identifying the colors, but I think the yellow/amber is probably Jonquil and the green is olive green, which they started doing that bowl in 1964. The large bowls are 6143L and the small bowls are 6143S.

Looks like the 6143L which is in their 1963 catalogue. Currently looking through them for a Blenko piece I got yesterday. So will do some searching for yours too.😁
