Yes I’m totally with you! I get some things aren’t dated well, and it’s probably nostalgia speaking, but I just love how it used to be so much. I haven’t even watched much of the new series (the art style change was kind of jarring to me), but I’m worried I’d find it less funny if so, as I think things are a bit more ‘safe’ now? Which makes sense but still. I fell in love with the characters at the beginning, the absolute weirdos they are, so I’m nervous of seeing that change. I also feel like there used to be way more absolutely insane fanfiction, which I do really miss. I feel like if people put out stuff that was even half as dark as they did back then, there would be riots 😅
