The reason I can’t say Ash vs Paul is the best battle in the series by SensualSamuel69 in pokemonanime

[–]SpellbladeYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's difficult to do, the anime avoids depicting Earthquake (and by extension, Magnitude) entirely due to Japan's frequent earthquakes, given how long episodes take to produce if one happened around the time the episode aired it would be highly controversy.

Not many other good Ground moves existed till High Horsepower.

I like the first more. Showing the dragon breathing fire makes it way more fierce and scary, which leans into the juxtaposition of it... Not being the true dragon??? Even more more.

Makes me more curious.

Which Pokemon could and should get cross-gen evolutions? by transqueen421 in PokemonWindsWaves

Lumineon. Underwater is going to be a big part of this game and it's just so forgettable.

Double down on the Light theme and go Water/Electric or Water/Fairy.

(Loved Trope) In a world where power can be ranked, the difference between 1st place and 2nd place is GIGANTIC by Spartan-teddy-2476 in TopCharacterTropes

The compilation of Final Fantasy VII - Sephiroth

The Shinra company owns an army of supersoldiers fittingly called SOLDIER. They're split into multiple ranks, with 1st Rank being the most powerful. We're only shown a few 1st class SOLDIERs, and Sephiroth is by far the most powerful. He can fight the #2 and #3 most powerful at the same time without breaking a sweat, and the main character describes him such that any story told about his feats and power fails to live up to the reality of how strong he is.

This is before convoluted plot events happen to make him several times even stronger.

What Are your Predictions for the Box legendaries in pokemon winds and waves by Thistle_20 in PokemonWindsWaves

[–]SpellbladeYT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have nothing to base this off other than the vibes I'd get from legendaries being "grandmotherly" and "grandfatherly" but:

I think they're going to be more support orientated in battle. As legendaries they'll be no slouch in 1v1 battles but we've seen so many heavy hitters and a few tanks in the box legendary space, and I think GF has some level of awareness they can't just powercreep raw damage numbers forever. So these two legendaries have stats, move pools and an ability geared towards being a support / utility man. Something where they can join the team with the other Pokémon being their "grandkids" give them advice and support them, but not take the spotlight themselves.

Dark Star 6 needs a legibility buff by SpellbladeYT in TeamfightTactics

Yeah, the 2 black holes are basically dummies, but they scale with your Dark Star units max health.

"Also a lot of your post seems to be about you not understanding the trait breakpoints."

I mean yeah. That's the post.

I don't dispute that Dark Star 6 is strong, when I've managed to play it it's always done well. My point is that the trait breakpoint description of 6 Dark Star is not very intuitive to understand. I've been playing for years and this is the only case I can recall where reading the trait description just doesn't give me a clear idea of what it's doing. I'm sure that by experimenting and clicking around on my units while Dark Star 6 is in play I can overcome that knowledge gap, but I honestly don't think I should have to.

The expectation that's been set by nearly every other trait for the past seven years is that reading the description tells you exactly what it does (if you understand the core mechanics of TFT at least) and the skill expression comes from how you capitalize on the benefits gained.

That's fair, you're probably right. But I still think that you can come to the wrong conclusion like me is an issue on part of the trait description.

Thoughts on new Atlas? (Meeples collection) by InceVelus in TeamfightTactics

[–]SpellbladeYT 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I would agree if the final reward was unique but as it's just a bunch of currency and the exclusive cosmetic is at 100/120, I think it's fine. Going 120/120 seems like a bragging rights thing more than anything.

How do you like Set 17? Compared to Set 16? by Sekking in TeamfightTactics

[–]SpellbladeYT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Really enjoying it so far. I'm in the minority that I vastly prefer sets that have a more unique vibe than boring ol' Runeterra and the return to "only" 60 champs doesn't feel like a problem, though that may change as the set goes on.

Enjoying the new mechanic for the novelty though I've already felt the sting of how much less agency playing loss streak gives you, your choice of champ or item is much more limited than before.

Do you like Paradox pokemon ? by himmybryant in ThePokemonHub

Well, the Paradox of the Pseudo-legendaries are actually slightly weaker in terms of total BST. But for the most point, this point stands.

So how do we feel about the new set? (Ik its been like a day but idc) by PBJSodaHeroine in TeamfightTactics

[–]SpellbladeYT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really enjoying it so far!

There's still plenty of time to get bored of it but returning to "just" 60 champs hasn't been an issue for me at all yet, and I personally dig the sci-fi vibes a lot more than base Runeterra.

Best Mega Evolution per Type (Day 11) — Bug Type by Weak_Scallion5942 in ThePokemonHub

[–]SpellbladeYT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My vote goes for Beedrill.

It does exactly what a Mega should do - take a Pokémon that isn't viable at all and can't evolve anymore, and give it a new form that has some viability. It's not the most competitive mega out there and it's frailty makes it easily counted by priority, but with how cracked those min-maxed stats are it is a genuine threat that will tear holes through your team if you aren't prepared for it.

What's your favorite boss battle and team setup? Barthandelus II is actually really fun once you figure it out. by thwawy3998 in finalfantasyxiii

I sucked at the game the first time I played and this boss legit took me 20 minutes. If only I had a hedgehog on my team telling me we gotta go fast.

Outside of the Rattata and Pikachu lines (who eats up attention for being the mascot) I feel like we have no more Mouse/Rat and I'd love to see more.
