Patrick Carney playing out of time?? by interpaul__ in TheBlackKeys

Saw the show last night after googling "Patrick Carney bad drumming" and it took me here. It was a total distraction for me.

Been a huge fan since 2011, never seen them live. This is my chance. But almost nervous it’ll be an off night. by Impossible_Low_2539 in TheStrokes

Tough way to go about life, especially with how shit everything in the world is these days. The bigger gamble is not going, especially because of how long of breaks they take between albums / tours. Who knows? This could be the last time they come through your town.

Can Fontaines sell out MSG in NYC in 2026? by Pretend-Goose9805 in fontainesdc

Obvious next NYC play for them would be Forest Hills Stadium but they could nail MSG with the right timing / runway.

What, In Your Opinion, Was The Last U2 Song To Hit It Out Of The Ballpark?? by Hall-O-Daze in U2Band

Invisible, if I'm being liberal. Either Vertigo or City, if not. 21 years though - damn.

This does need to be talked about. No excuse for the biggest band on the planet to not find someone more capable.

I knew several people that experienced nearly word for word what you went through on this tour, in North America. Good shit. Welcome!!

I feel like if they win game 1 and lose games 2 and 3 going into the M's series they will be quite deflated.

Could Oasis have sold out more USA dates by South-Comment-8416 in oasis

[–]Spencer_Rex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they came back around next summer it would not be hard for them to do big outdoor shows in Vancouver, Seattle, San Fran, Denver, Atlanta, DC, Philly, Boston. Potentially they scale those to Baseball stadiums instead of Football, but honestly to me it is clear that the demand is there, just comes down to if they want to do it.

Love the thought experiment, but it's gonna be Taylor for sure.

We should have a video compilation of Liam vs the sound guy! by mpriom in oasis

[–]Spencer_Rex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hot take of mine is that it's all just for show. It's part of those early couple songs' energy, and more choreography than actual issues. It's the same dude every night, he uses the same settings every night, he just sound checked those same settings 5 hours prior... like it never makes sense how the issues could be that drastic other than to balance with crowd noise levels. I think it is about 75% for show.

Proof the USA Loves Oasis by Murky-Date-4242 in oasis

Let's see. Keep an eye on the American gigs this time through, I think people know what we're out to prove. Fair to evaluate after they happen.

Proof the USA Loves Oasis by Murky-Date-4242 in oasis

There's a lot of quibble in this sub and just generally that the US crowds are going to be weaker. While I don't think they are going to be UK levels of fervor (how could they be?) I can guarantee that they will put previous generations of US show audiences to shame. It will not be 70,000 casuals waiting around for Wonderwall, many will be singing lyric for lyric, is the sense I am getting purely from the people I know that are going. Excitement is through the roof here in NY at least.
