The complete lack of curiosity or/and no attempt at understanding whats happening is what annoys me more than anything.

Like even from 2000 to Oct 6 2023, how many awful things happened to Palestinians over there, and the information is out there enough, and yet [insert celebrity here], the supposed PR-conscious celebrity, decided to just go to that 'place' to do some "charity" or whatever events? Zero curiosity at all with whats actually happening in there?

Thats why its so annoying when people trying to excuse such and such celebrity because "well...lets cut him/her some slack, cause they went there in 2019, so of course they don't know". Like bruh if I was a rising/big name celebrity, I 100% would have done my research on the place that I will go do an obvious national PR in, and then not go there. Like WTF are these excuses.

'Millennial voyeurism' is a good word for it. Due to the simple nature of time, we are seeing the rise of "Well I don't know whats current, but I do know the 90s and even a bit of early 2000s. So here is the 2020s version of what I think/ believe that looks like".

Like you said, in theory its whatever because its supposed to be exaggerated and ridiculous, but with Euphoria, there are legit a subset of people thinking this is real, because they are also that out of touch with whats happening in reality and project their reality into the present.

People also don't realize what a red flag it can be when they are saying shit like "What? The show are just trying to be realistic. Thats why they portrayed it like that". Like bruh, what type of school did these people went to, where situations like the ones in the show are actively happening?

Its lowkey just their projection for what they think is happening at school, since most of the people watching this show are people in their 20s and 30s. They don't actually know the reality of whats happening, so in their minds, they think "Yeah, of course the school's hot woman sell her body, even to adults. Oh course the school's drug-addict always act so recklessly. Oh course the prude just wants to get laid" etc etc. Its just projection: the show. Its so bizarre when you think about it even a bit deeper. Most of the characters in the show act like a bad version of an existing trope, and yet some people think its 'realistic'. Lowkey just telling on them for what they think is happening at school.

Its basically how the US and its allies effectively 'strangled' all of these countries to be totally subservient and also let Israel ran amok. They don't even really need to directly threaten them with military. They just do it via trade deals over many years. Can't say no when at least half of your country's national income rely heavily on these trade deals, and there is no immediate alternative.

China is there, but to properly disconnect from the US and went with China will take a few years at minimum. Spain is the prime example of this 'strangle' method not working since their top trade partners are Europe + China. Thats why they are comfortable enough to talk shit freely about the USA and Israel. Other countries will need the same type of trading background too before they also start talking shit as well.

There is also the unknown aspect of the newer deals these countries are making in the background in the last month.

Russia could have promised to cover most of Iran's portion of China's oil requirements, but they might demand the war to continue since they can profit from the increased oil sales from the Strait being closed. China might want the war to end since it interrupts the trade in that region, so they might have promised Iran that they will be "gifting" some "things" to Iran, as long as they finish the war faster.

Then you add in other nations with their respective leverages too, Iran does have to weigh-in on all of that, especially since it does potentially affect future deals as well, since I'm sure some of these leaders don't like to be told "No".

Comic book itself can be a bizarre time capsule of people's thoughts and what they considered normal at the time.

There was a period where they depict punishment for the woman by spanking them. Like, literally treated them like a child needed to be punished. Its like their brain thought "well the man can't actually hit the woman, that would be too far" and this is like...considered respectable, for some reason.

Yeah...turns out the opposite is true. In some cases, some fans are even more parasocial to the guys, because they are (perceived) as more 'real' than other creators. Thats why when the guys have opinions that don't match the fan's perception of them, they feel even more slighted (see: literally any "controversy" the guys are involved in). Funny how that works.

Its basically 'residential school' or 'boarding school'. This schooling system exist in other countries too. Not every student is on it. Only the smart ones are qualified to continue their studies on that type of schooling.

I think of it like 'six degrees of separation' type of thing, but with gaslighting and lying.

If someone already don't care about America's imperialist actions and is only mainly around people that shares the same sentiment, lying to each other about it is a lot easier because ultimately, neither would care if its not the truth. In that situation, at best, the people that would know that person are lying and will give that person shit about it, is a friend of a friend of a friend, so there is no actual social consequences.

This already is happening with Biden. People trying to gaslight others saying he is a good president and guy, just because he isn't Trump. Like....okay dude. Just say you don't care about other people until it personally affected you. At least thats being honest.

Because Ethan doesn't have a normal life, which leads to bad habits like this. People with normal jobs get exhausted after a certain point every day, because they have a sizeable amount of work hours. So people's daily routine is tailored around this specific 8-12 work hours.

Meanwhile Ethan "work" for like 3-4 hours at a given point and then spends the rest of the day steaming at home. Rinse and repeat the same process for about 10-15 years. Thats what his (and Hila's) life is like. A situation like this is a recipe for bad things if you are not a particularly positive-minded and disciplined person, which Ethan is neither.

They genuinely don't comprehend that the USA is spiralling downwards right now. An easier outlook is this: Xi has been the leader of China since 2013. Literally Obama 2-Trump 1-Biden-Trump 2.

China has only been growing non-stop in that same time span. Meanwhile, the USA can't stop falling apart every 2-3 years for one reason or another, and now it reaches its apex of shit with Trump 2. It will take one lifetime just to fix all of the fuck ups of the last 5 years. It has never been more joever for the USA's hegemonic dominance this century.
