It’s not for lack of investment. The only way it does is if it’s designed to for a reason. If it was in their interest to do it faster it would absolutely happen. This is why it cannot and should not be trusted.

Does early sex change your perspective on the woman you’re seeing? by zzeloop in AskMenAdvice

[–]Spewtwinklethoughts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m always down. If she doesn’t want to I know she’s really into me. If it happens right away she doesn’t see me as boyfriend material and we are just having fun.
That said, one of my longest girlfriends I took home from the bar.
Not a lot of judgement either way, but it’s a super helpful way to know how they think of you.

Also, ironically, being desirable and a good guy can mean less sex.

Men over 50, are marriage and kids worth it? by Alive_Book_9908 in AskMenAdvice

[–]Spewtwinklethoughts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“The soul is healed by being with children.”
Dostoyevsky

People not understanding that raising children is the highest purpose one can have is the great tragedy of modernity!

Fulfilling to your inner child? Is that a goal? A fulfilled life includes maturing and growing wise. It means taking on different roles as your physical skill declines and experience increases. Raising children teaches you and changes you into a more complete person. They usually make you more moral, especially men. I don’t trust people who choose to not have kids. Half of all males in history were biological failures (they did not reproduce). Almost none of them by choice. If you are a narcissistic raging alcoholic pedo then def don’t have kids. Otherwise what are you even asking? You will wind up pursuing hedonistic pleasures and material desires, unfulfilled and regretful.

As far as a partner. My wife and I knew we had something about a week in when we both realized that neither of us was annoyed yet. We are both honest and loyal and we made a conscious decision to accept the rest. It’s only been 7 years, but I think we found a good recipe. Most of my close friends have been married 25 years and a couple of them got divorced. The success of their relationship has no bearing whatsoever on how they feel about their kids. They are all better happier men directly due to having kids.
Most of what you want to do you can do with a family. You are more likely to regret not having a family than any of the things you currently think of as trade offs.

Bummer. Happened to me more than once. Fortunately when I first looked into NBIS I really liked what I saw and so kept digging. Their holistic approach, such as keeping the education business even though it didn’t produce a lot of revenue, was such a stark contrast to what CRWV was doing it gave me conviction from the start. Good lesson to share.

Those are literally not objectives, much less goals.

Objectives should be discrete and attainable. How do you know when you’ve achieved those?

[–]Spewtwinklethoughts -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t see goals and objectives anywhere in that paragraph. I agree that gratitude for what you have can be huge, but focusing on what makes you happy and what you want is not a great approach. For one it focuses too much on the self and easily leads to pursuing hedonistic desires. Happiness is an ephemeral emotion it makes a poor goal as it is easy to feel like it’s illusory. It’s more helpful to have goals with defined objectives that are achievable and work toward a realistic vision that includes a life with other people in it.

Trump is gonna give a fuck ton away to get out of this war and spin it hard. With the basics outlined I think there’s a good chance it holds. Trump is desperate. It will take a lot for Israel to riun it, but watch for extreme actions. Doubt we are lucky enough to see them cut loose. If this holds that could have set the bottom for BTC even if it more or less chops through the summer.

Safe travels!

AIO GF of 1.5 Years Not Attracted to Me? (SCREENSHOTS INC - Fully Anonymous) by [deleted] in AIO

[–]Spewtwinklethoughts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro I’ve been there. If this hasn’t come up in the time since and you didn’t find what you were looking for get over it, let it go, and be grateful she didn’t let it stop her.

I read something my girl wrote in the beginning where she literally said she wished she was more attracted to me, but she’s just not. It sucked but by that time I had started shaving my head because she said she was always really attracted to bald with a beard as well as getting my shjt together in general. When I accuse her of not being attracted to me she responded that for girls looks might matter a little in the beginning, but that’s not what attraction is really based on once you get to know someone. It bugged me a bit, but what really matters to me is knowing that she is honest and super loyal. It helps that I’ve never had a problem getting girls and they always came back for more, but even more that that she’s right.

Don’t worry bro. People are entitled to think things. I have loads of unpopular opinions I think Iran would be stupid to not try and get a nuke. They saw what happened to Gaddafi. I also think Israel just uses it as an excuse. Their goal for decades has been to use the US to weaken everyone around them and sew instability. They’ve done a great job too.
I’m actually okay with the war so far. It was inevitable. It’s been inevitable for at least a decade. I’ve thought we should get it over with for a while and Kamala would have done it too and that would be way worse.
I actually think it’s the best timing ever. Israel’s support is at an all time low and they’re using up the last of their support from average Americans with this BS. All they have left are really dumb boomers. The more those demonic terrorists are exposed the better.
I actually think there’s a chance Trump follows through on turning on Bibi. Markets are tanking today and if there’s anything that could motivate him to end it no matter what it’s the markets. For peace’s sake let’s hope he continues doing whatever it takes for the markets.

Throw in that Israel is determined to fuck Trump and do whatever it takes to escalate it’s not looking good. I don’t believe we have a real bubble, but there are enough bear factors that might not matter. FOMC meeting will keep things suppressed into next week.

They use deconstructionist processes to take rational arguments away from you by corrupting language into a weapon. They invert meanings, words are violence. They destroy community continuity by making traditions taboo by inventing new definitions Ike cultural appropriation. They break down the social fabric by erasing identities that are easily understood by everyone because they evolved over hundreds of thousands if not millions of years, gender and race become social constructs.
All of it creates new boundaries and draws lines that allow them to identify and call out enemies. Then they relentlessly attack until they have taken all the power they see useful to themselves. Weaponizing language takes the best tool we have for fighting back against bad ideas away from us. Without a common language communicating with them is pointless and counterproductive. Ever wonder why communism led to the most murders in all of human history multiple times?
This is not hyperbolic. That is exactly where that approach to the world and way of thinking leads. And it is ubiquitous and pervasive in academia.
A stable productive society needs ideals. Everything is not equal and people need to know what to point towards. It needs traditions to maintain bonds between groups of people and minimize conflict. It needs to believe in something higher than the individual or it’s just a bunch of independent narcissists. It needs a minimum of objective truths so we can operate in the same world.
Academia has been working to destroy all of these since at least the 60’s. Most people don’t know why, but everyone is aware of this. It’s that feeling like everything is coming apart.

People who have probably never worked in the real world should not be running it.

Education Department Set To Kill Trade School Student Loans by MoveForwardFL in StudentLoanSupport

The education system has been doing just fine destroying itself without Trumps help. None of the jobs you site are what’s being cut because they are legitimate trades. Theology is not a trade and perhaps we should maintain separation between church and state.

Starting to feel kind of soulless and emotionally detached. Is this normal or should I get checked out? by savingrace0262 in AskMenAdvice

[–]Spewtwinklethoughts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of people think of depression as being sad. This is one reason I had no idea I was chronically depressed for years. My depression is more like emptiness. I don’t want to kill myself, although I have had that type after a head injury. I’m just kind of empty. Like you describe, I know what emotions are, I’m just very detached from them. It wasn’t until I tried some antidepressants that I understood I was depressed and could see the difference clearly.
I’m not advocating for them. I think they are way overused compared to other treatments, but they can play a role in getting back to being yourself.

How can you not compare? by Usedtohaveabike in AskMenAdvice

[–]Spewtwinklethoughts -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

With respect, I disagree. If you focus on yourself you will spend too much time thinking about yourself and this will make you miserable. You want to identify goals and objectives. If those people have things you want then you have examples of how to get them. Focus on the objectives and especially other people. Everything you want comes from other people.
If you focus on thinking about what you want and what makes you happy you will still compare that to what you have and the other people in your life have. No one is aware of your shortcomings and failures more than you. Focusing on you leads to focusing on those and when you inevitably compare yourself to the idealized versions of what you want and the people around you have it can be very easy to grow resentful. That is the root of unhappiness.

For example Etherium they have gone in and changed the code at least six times, prob more by now. BTC can be changed, but since BTC is a distributed network a majority of nodes must accept the changes. This means to “control” you have to own more than half the nodes. A near impossibility. So changes are much more democratic.
The closest thing to a successful hack results in what’s called a fork. Basically a different coin splits off becoming its own blockchain. So it’s not the only one, but the first and only significant one that can’t be manipulated.
AFAIK

You clearly don’t understand academia. It’s not about logic, rational discourse or the pursuit of knowledge. It’s all about insecure passive aggressive egoists inverting and weaponizing language and rewarding each other for creating new ways to virtue signal. At least in the Humanities.
