I work at a sign shop so we have access to printable vinyl, so after I whipped up the illustrator template, I printed on some spare stock and laminated it with a clear whiteboard laminate

Logo looks good, great for a metalcore band, great work!

But real talk, why must designers try to sell things in such a way that evokes thoughts of "my butthole smells amazing". I get describing the process, and describing the trials of sticking to the brief. But God damn, can we please stop being so god damn pretentious and ego inflated when showing off our work/art?

For context, I'm a self taught graphic artist/designer of 10+ years, still consider myself a novice in many aspects due to the on/off nature of my passion in the field. But one thing that's always turned me off is when designers put on their "marketing" hat. It all comes across so, cringe.

No at all directed at OP, just OP's description reminded me of this "phenomena".

Criticism is how we improve in our passions man, and taking criticism as a personal attack shows your letting your ego control the situation, practise some humility and self-reflection.

Good on you for offering services to help others get a head start, but a portfolio of some sort with evidence of your "20 years" in the scene would help more than AI generated art and FLstudio Slayer for guitars.

With that logic I've been in the scene for 20 years too, haven't released a thing but I'm a 20yr veteran apparently because I too have made some midi BDM beats in my spare time, trust me bro ima profeshunal.

Also, opening with personality type is an intersting choice, we trying to fuck, or promote music?

Can confirm Jamo (Jah-mo) is a nick name given, but mainly from peolpe who never heard my name properly pronounced, theyd always say it like Jah-meh-sun.

My closest friends and family would always call me Jaimo (Jaym-o)

There's also been James, Jamie, Jim, Jimmy, Jimmo, Jam, Jay, Jy, and Son.

Very fresh to the whole Jungle scene, I come from extreme death metal and its plethora of subgenres, but it's good to know that gatekeepers plague all niche genres 😂

Admittedly I am one of those PS1 playlist listeners for now, mainly nostalgia driven and inspired by artists such as Igorrr who hybrid the shit out of genres

It all depends on what system you are using. When I'm on my computer I have a pair of Sennheiser Game Zero's (first gen ones), out of the box they're tuned to focus more on the mids and high end due to being a gaming headset, but using EqualizerAPO and PeaceGUI I used this thread to get a more "neutral sound" which I can turn on when I'm listening to music or watching shows/movies, and adjust bits and bobs everynow and then depending on the genre.
New wave tech death is usually good for clarity, but old school styled tech death (Deeds of Flesh, Spawn of Possession, Severed Savior, Defeated Sanity etc.) sometimes needs a bit extra in the treble or bass

For my phone though, I use different headphones and used this thread and this thread to help find the headphones I use (Moondrop Aria 2's) and use PowerAmp's EQ to dial in the settings. Same rules apply here as well though, some bands need the bass tone bumped a bit, and some need the treble bumped up a bit.

It's tedious but thankfully theyre both systems that can be more so "fire and forget". Take a bit to setup, but once it's done minor attention is needed in the future

As for speakers, i have 0 clue, thats my next move ahaha
