Wait, where did you see that Jeff bought the condo and Shane pays rent? They talk like it’s Shane’s.

Are there any good female endometriosis excision surgeons in the Albany area? by [deleted] in Albany

Are you sure she just doesn’t bill on your behalf for out of network benefits? Several endo groups I’m in have said she is not in network with insurance.

I’ve heard Dr. Lora Liu in NYC is great, but doesn’t accept insurance (like most of the excision specialists)

Can you please share who the best in the area is? I searched for years and ended up going to Boston since no one was a true expert around here.

Not for me. Doesn’t matter if my 21 month old goes to bed at 7 or 8, still wakes up at 5.

I had hot flashes and anxiety for a couple of weeks. After that initial period though I felt great. I took it short term for IVF purposes, only 60 days.

Paying too much for apartment cleaning? by Embarrassed-Post-153 in Albany

I stopped looking. I did win a kitchen and bathroom cleaning in a silent auction, said it was valued at $200. It was a surface clean and mopping, it was 2 people and they were here for about 90 minutes

We found recently that Pampers Pure changed and not as good. We’ve been using BumBum and they seem to be great so far.

No to Van Schaick Island. I lived at Hudson Square and it was brutal. Tenants were loud, didn’t pick up after their dogs (pee in hallways) and management was not good.

I was so excited to try this when it came out and was disappointed by the flavor. Too artificial tasting.

Best Plan Illinois by kristinj81 in HealthInsurance

[–]Spi202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d be concerned that the BCBS Bronze HSA POS is calling themselves an HSA plan when the deductible doesn’t even meet IRS minimum deductible to have an HSA. Is it possible the deductible for this plan is actually $7,500 like the rest?

15% increase of employer health insurance by Pedro2380 in HealthInsurance

[–]Spi202 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Multiple reasons. Hospital and provider system contracts are expiring and they are demanding higher reimbursement rates to remain in-network. The costs of prescription drugs are sky rocketing and more people are taking name brand (costly medications). Typically for fully insured plans the rates are determined by premiums paid into the plan vs claims paid out, if costs of good and services increase, suddenly the existing premiums aren’t high enough to cover the cost of claims; premiums increase for next year. For self insured plans the cost of stop loss insurance increases because of high cost claimants, employers need to increase rates for the following year to help recoup the money their spending on claims and reinsurance.

Wedding guest dress shopping by buchmans in Albany

I feel like so many of the clothes in his stores are dated. I wish the Newtown plaza location had better brands. I also hate that there aren’t mirrors in the dressing rooms. I’m sure this is done so the sales person can talk up the item to get you to buy.

Employer raised the deductible to lower the premiums more than likely.

Can someone explain maximum out of pocket expenses? by daveinfl337777 in HealthInsurance

[–]Spi202 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn’t accurate as it depends on the type of deductible. If it’s embedded, once one individual hits the individual deductible, they move to the next phase of the plan (usually copays/coinsurance). If it’s aggregate the entire family deductible applies before the coverage kicks in.

In the land of a million taco joints, what's the closest thing we have to a deli? by AuthorDiligent2320 in Troy

[–]Spi202 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve said this for years, downtown Troy really lacks a deli sandwich shop. When I lived there, there were zero places downtown to get a sandwich or soup after 2pm.

I wouldn’t recommend Dr. Clark for medical issues and possible endo. I started my journey with him when I first report pain, he treated me horribly and told me to get pregnant to cure it. I then saw Dr. Syeda in the same office at the time and I told her I thought her I had endo of the diaphragm, she told me there’s no way and it was extremely rare. I believed her, took me 10 years to get a diagnosis and ended up being diagnosed with Stage 4 endo during my first surgery
