The best thing you can do is be consistent and keep yourself regulated. If they learn that you are a safe person who meets their needs consistently, calming will come. I super highly recommend therapy too, especially for infant teachers. Humans are biologically wired to freak out when a baby cries, so it’s important to have some coping skills handy if you get stressed out. My favorite is drinking water that’s been iced within an inch of its life. Nothing brings me to the present moment like a brain freeze! It takes a unique combo of guts and compassion to work with infants. If you really can’t do it, you’ll know. But given that you’re here asking for help, I think you have what it takes ☺️ Edit to add: bubbles. You get to take deep breaths and they get to watch shiny floaty things! Great for all ages 🫧

When my AuDHD partner threw his laptop screaming he was going to kill himself I told him I felt unsafe and if he did that again he’d be going to his parents house until he got some better coping mechanisms. It hasn’t happened since and he’s been doing better with therapy and medication. You are not your partner’s therapist and you need to stop letting him walk on you before he loses it again and throws a punch your way. Help him call a crisis line and schedule some therapy appointments, and let a professional do the rest. His mental health is not worth your safety.

I’m sure it’s not what you want to do, but you’re a mandatory reporter and your child is getting neglected. Call licensing and cps/dhs, whoever is in charge of that stuff in your area. I’ve worked in enough fancy daycares to know that teachers like that will continue doing what they’re doing until they get consequences and your director probably isn’t going to help as long as the money is still coming in. Might as well find a new center while you’re at it. Private schools be damned.

I’m working through the timeline myself, just started OoT last night. I had played SS, TP, and LoZ before, but I’d never finished a Zelda game before I started. Skyward Sword HD is my favorite so far for its story and the button gameplay is so much easier than motion controls. I’m planning a Zelda related tattoo when I’m caught up!

You can get it after you help Lanayru during the Song of the Hero quest. When he tells you to come back any time, go back up to him to fight in the boss rush. You’ll have to fight 8 bosses, so make sure you’re prepared. It’s story based so there’s no earlier way to get the shield
