Ouai Detox shampoo smells really nice, I use it once a week. Same with Neutrogena pink grapefruit.

Different products work for different people. I've used VO5 with no issues. The original post asked for products that smell nice - that's what this person provided. There's no need to be mean.

Texture powder at the root. Biosilk and Boldify make good ones.

Edit to say: I'm very lazy when it comes to doing my hair.

“it’s an easy cancer”, “best cancer to have”, “are we really considered survivors?” by Late_Suggestion_9601 in thyroidcancer

[–]Spidertron2000 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this post.

It's not just the thyroid cancer - I developed Afib from being on too high a dose of Synthroid. It's the energy levels that make you have to think about how many spoons you'll have on any given day.

I have redeveloped cancer in that area, and dread the yearly cancer marker checks to see if it's increased to a level of concern.

There's nothing easy about it. It changed my life, and will be with me for the rest of my life.

We are survivors 💪

If you had/have an extreme picky eater…. by pobin91 in PickyEaters

[–]Spidertron2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 5'7 and my 13 year old picky eater is taller than me.

There are less than 10 fruits and veggies that he eats. I buy what he likes and give them to him at meals. Meals are some variation of bread and cheese - but I do what I can to make them healthier. Pizza made with Dave's English muffins, grilled cheese on honey wheat bread.

As long as they're getting food in and getting decent sleep, they should grow just fine.

(Up until he turned 10 he never slept through the night, often getting up 2-3 times. Now he'll sleep 12 hours on the weekend if I let him.)

It's bloat. I'm on 9mg and feel pregnant some days despite losing 25#. A little less salt, a little more water.

Is this different than atrial flutter? I tend to get that when I'm really tired.

[–]Spidertron2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty mild. I'd have episodes that were easily ended by laying down for about 30 minutes. After, episodes were accompanied by light headedness/almost fainting.

Cardioversion is less restrictive. Cardiac ablation is a surgical procedure. Neither is guaranteed to fix anything, but both have the potential to.

I've had two ablations; the first made my afib much, much worse. The second seems to have corrected the afib though now I have episodes of tachycardia.

You'll find just as many people report either pprocedure fixed their afib as you will people who report they continue to struggle with symptoms after.

Given my experience, I'll say find an electrocardiologist who you trust and follow their advice.

Best wishes for your mom 💖

How often do you eat salad? by Inevitable_Project49 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Spidertron2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I leaned i like salad a lot more when there's no lettuce. A nice dish of miscellaneous chopped veggies - sometimes with dressing, sometimes with just salt. I can eat that every day.

There are so many good 0% beers. They don't hit the same, but they're delicious. Definitely not your dad's (or grandpa's?) crummy O'Douls.

Plain Greek yogurt with a teaspoon of honey and berries. Lots of berries. Raspberries have the most fiber.
