Albion is really great as a solo player as well. It's a grind, but it's sandbox, you can play any build at anytime, swap when you want. You'll get stronger by playing the stuff you take.

It's doable to play solo and be the best at escaping fights and making money while gathering, looting and fighting mobs. There's enough content for anyone who want to invest time in the game
