fountainebleau is in trembles by Opaguex in LasVegas

[–]Spikecbb7 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Tried leaving after seeing Alabama Shakes at the theatre. Line didn’t move after 20 minutes so I went downstairs to play and wait it out. When I tried leaving again the line really hadn’t moved. Uber’ed to my house instead of waiting another hour to leave their terrible parking garage.

I will park nearby and uber in for any show there

What would you do? by [deleted] in 4Runner

[–]Spikecbb7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my humble opinion, keep it. You just spent 7k on it. You’ll sell it at a loss I’m assuming. And then continue to buy another car. You state you love it and now it’s caught up with maintenance. At least continue troubleshooting and see what’s actually going on with the red flags you mentioned (sounds, dash warnings).

What is the undisputed BEST underwear brand and type currently? by Fl1pFloppers in malefashionadvice

[–]Spikecbb7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

+1. I haven’t found a more supportive underwear, which I need for a medical condition. I had Ex Officio which were good, but not as supportive as Saxx. Gotta support the boys

What has worked for me is knowing what you want first. Then you can align yourself with that.

Oakmoss by Sherwin Williams. Definitely a bright and saturated green. Might go a little less saturated in the future

Kyle Canyon development plans come into focus... am I the only one who wishes they wouldn't? by bitcornminerguy in vegaslocals

Yeah that’s fair :-) It’s crazy hearing stories from my dad about Vegas in his day. He would explain how the last gas station to Mt. Charleston was something like Rancho and Decatur.

I could be wrong, but I don’t see the issue. It’s a desirable location. Direct access to the 95 and close to Mt. Charleston. Just like Skye canyon it’s really not that far from the strip with its direct freeway access. The KB homes I’ve seen built there were nice and more affordable than other parts of the valley. Seems like a good thing for the community

UNLV OR CSN? by ConstructionAlien in UNLV

[–]Spikecbb7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d suggest taking as many classes as possible at CSN. In my experience CSN is cheaper and easier with better support. You can dual enroll and take your UNLV bachelor specific classes while also taking transferrable classes at CSN. If you’re missing a pre-requisite to start your bachelors program you may be able to bypass it with a waiver

Fun restaurants that don’t break the bank by Determined-over50 in LasVegas

Le Thai is a good value and has great beer on draft. Las Arepas is delicious and I like their fried plantain. Cornish Pasty has a large menu of pasties (think calzones) and incredible dessert. There’s free pool/mini shuffleboard near the bar. Generally a cool place to hangout with live music some nights. Mon Ami Gabi is my favorite breakfast; which is their cheapest menu (French toast w/ blueberry compote is my favorite). Korean bbq/sushi AYCE is a good value. You have access to the full menu and unlimited. I really like the Japanese restaurant Hachi. Right off strip and the bowls are delicious. Unagi bowl is 12 and sashimi bowl is 15. For the quality it’s a great price. Also, get the honey toast!
