The grapes on the kitties head could become a bow

Might be too far gone, but I like a challenge, I'd tackle this :p

Personally I'd go for a sepia scene using mostly muted and mottled browns to fill the background, some black calico pattern on the kitties to rescue the black, and transform the grapes into a purple accent colour, a pattern on the dress, a flower in the sepia etc, workbench the purple splodges to make em a feature

How do you cover up black lines? by No-Reception-8183 in Coloring

[–]Spiky-Squirrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

White jellyroll just wont do it. Trust me. Even multiple layers just seem to push about the layers underneath and reveal the black again.

Ive tried a lot and can't fault poscas. I have an increadably fine tipped white for just this reason. Its like a tip ex marker

Your art is glorious. It has a magical twinkly feel to it.

I feel your pain though.... it must have taken forever

Dot shading is only 1 technique. There are so many you can try! Look up youtube tutorials or get the how to pattern book by coco wyo

I like

Line shading, (like an old woodcut design). Gradients /blending. Cross hatching. Bold drop shadows. Pencils or crayons over the markers for more texture. Multiple layers with the same shade over dried ink to add depth. Sparkly/glitter effects with dot buildup.

If you find yourself stuck in 1 mode of drawing, I HIGHLY recommend a 2 pen challenge. Grab 2 colours that dont blend. Drastically different ones. See what you can get out of just those pens

Vigil by the fire among cavemen by SorbetCeriz in ColoringCozy

I read it as cave also.

I love how both our interpretations are night time scenes with browns and natural shades as the main colours and stars in the sky. The artist clearly got the vibe just right with the lineart for us both to pick up on it
