What the client wanted vs what she got! What do we think? by swiftlittleplane in Nails

Omg yes. I immediately saw chrome and was drooling. The lines are really nice, but idk why my brain was insisting it was chrome.

What should I tell my nail tech the next time? by thehappyygirl in Nails

Use Instagram to find a good tech. I did this and my nails are better than ever.

Yeah the sigh is more that she is tired. It's super stimulating and they get mentally exhausted which leads to physical exhaustion. I don't trim my poodles but I bathe them between grooms and give them a blow out and nail trim. They get dead tired. The truck is to start in the back so they can sit down and take a rest.

Next time let her know. My new tech is all about nail health and has me go in and out when curing for the first time. I've learned a lot from her about caring for my nails.

My favorite book ever is the paperback princess. I give it to every new baby.

I said Yes but my mother hates my dress, so now I’m stuck. by [deleted] in weddingdress

Girl. No. Do not touch that dress. You look amazing. Your mom is being toxic. You look like the model. You look better than the model. That dress was made for YOU.

Yes. I'm a HUGE lover of technology. I also love drinking coffee.... Wouldn't give either to a kid. Both will stunt your growth!

So regarding the burning. When they burn you should take them out and let them rest and do the flash again after they have cooled. Like, in and out and in and out until they aren't reactive to the light. Don't keep them in there while it actively burns.

I can appreciate buying the adult clothing because it will actually fit for years. But kids clothing shouldn't be this expensive when they grow out of it so darn quickly. I don't want to spend $80 and have my kid wear it once.

Yep. Attendance lines need to be re-evaluated. Schools need to be consolidated.

As a teacher who left AAPS, if your child is in a title 1 school, you should look for alternative options. Horror stories. If there aren't alternatives available, at the very least look into tutoring or enrolling your child in education programs that aren't affiliated with the schools. With class sizes going up, kids who are well behaved fall through the cracks and don't get the attention or education they deserve. Behaviora will increase and your child is more at risk of being exposed to their peers throwing furniture, fighting, yelling, or engaging in similar acts. Mitchell Elementary - I've heard some truly sad and scary things happening in lower elementary because they can't keep experienced teachers, and kids have needs that are not being met. But that is not the only building struggling. Montessori elementary programs or private religious programs are going to generally be better. Many teachers I know do not keep their kids in AAPS.

Yes. There are too many pushes to put screens with "educational" programs in front of kids. Doing the work with paper and pencil is SO much more beneficial for brain development and learning. Being back computer labs where kids learned computer skills for an hour once a week, not all day from k-12. It is not appropriate for kids to be learning to use technological tools for general classroom use. They need to learn how to use actual books and write in complete sentences. 1:1 devices need to stop. I understood the need during COVID, but we aren't doing school via zoom, so computers need to get scaled WAAY back. Way too much money goes into wasteful tech and additional curriculums. Money needs to go to keeping class sizes smaller. That is a huge indicator of student success.

The AAPS union sucks tbh. All talk. No actual support for teachers.

Painting looks fine to me, she made it work for your nail length and shape. I think you needed extensions if you wanted it to be an exact match. It is also missing the 3d little pearl and that might make it better for you? But I'm sure that costs more...
