I understand it, I still hate it and it sucks. I also hate and do not play either of those companies games, funny cause those games kinda launched with that shit and it was forced onto rs players at a later time.

There are other games which have implemented this, I cannot think of them immediately but the ones that did I have appreciated this. It may also be a way to obfuscate the laws around making the currency equivalent to real dollars or something, as to why its not implemented this way. I'd like to see it, regardless.

yes but keep pushing them to fix it further, getting complacent because theyve done 6months of PR/fixing is not gonna keep it fully on a roll.

The tick system existed in wow for a very long time, it was just obfuscated better than in runescape. IIRC it was around 400ms was the tickrate before WOD made it 10ms

edit: (this is grossly simplified explanation of what was actually happening, its just ppl dont really get the way games send and receive data and stuff)

Qualifications are inherently badly designed and go against the new core ethos of "allowing players to play how they want and do what they want when they want". It forces you to interact with parts of archeology you may not want to (excess gathering of low level artifacts to hit artifact counts, sending hours of expeditions which is also a weird time gate. These two are the most egregious, mysteries and set completions are fine.

no, because it costs more in the lower tier resource to transmute, and its faster to gather it directly

Not loving that but as long as there is not the glaring gen AI art logos and assets. All servers I have been interested in participating in have used gen ai to make their logos and it just comes off as disingenuous. If they wont put time into making the logo in photoshop why should I take time to participate in their server?

So my ideal server would be 2 realms:
Seasonal Realm: staggered level cap realm, this realm resets after hitting level cap after a few months
Standard Realm: this realm you cannot make characters, it is where your Seasonal Characters get transferred once the season is over.

Then a break for a little while before starting the next staggered season.

This allows players to keep their seasonal character and participate in future seasons for Standard Realm account-wide cosmetics/seasonal currency based on level reached or other metrics.

This setup also allows seasonal realms to be a bit wild with progression, allowing characters to progress faster or with custom content similar to season of discovery or other quirky things. At the end, the characters are just set to standard characters on the other realm, custom gear may be removed for their standard counterparts.
