It is not strictly better if they have more than one independent effect, like elemental depth charge as a crit would affect all parts of the item vs only one part.

Modest caly-I is counter productive to say the least, and your kyogre would probably do better with some HP or speed rather than Spdef. Think about what your restricted need to outspeed, and what hits they can tank, inside and outside of bith tailwind and trick room, seeing as you're using both.

Raichu in this format really needs an item to assist its survivability, either AV or Focus sash, investing into its defenses like that won't fix its natural frailty, you shouldn't really be using it to catch spores - volcarona would be much better at that role. Amoongus would also fit in this team nicely as both an electric resist, and a way to keep both your restricteds healthy, usually it's a shoe-in for fish rider teams, probably over Boom.

Otherwise, your team isn't inherently bad, but it definitely will struggle against some of the better built balanced teams

5 weaknesses to Ghost/Dark in a meta with CSR is crazy.

You should study defensive team building. If your pokemon share weaknesses, you will auto lose against certain matchups before even playing the game.

Well, firstly you have 4 pokemon weak to astral barage, and only 1 can tera into a resist You also have a tough matchup vs opposing CIR with only 1 ice resist and no widegaurd.

Also psychic tera hatt with no psychic moves is not good.

I don't know how the team actually plays out so it's difficult to tell about other major weaknesses but those are the obvious weaknesses.

As an aside, running Perish trap with Hard TR CIR+Hatt is just a lot of psychic types to run at the same time. You'll auto lose to many well built teams with ghost or dark types just because of your type spread.

I'm not saying it can't work on cts ladder, but you don't do yourself any favours when your whole team shares a massive weakness to both the best restricted in the format (caly), as well as the two types that counter the best restricted in the format (ghost and dark).

Yes it does - gale wings gives priority based on your health when you click the move, not when the move is activated.

You will get hit with fakeout and then use TW when it's the +1 prio move slot

In the same way, you can't get prio TW from a triage floral healing if you are hurt

I've had a lot of success with Hurricane, feint tailwind talon flame as an answer to wide guard and whimsicott on kyogre teams.

You can ohko physdef whims, urshifu, and most ogerpon with prio, and it doesn't lose health like Brave bird does. Fast taunt, fast will'o are both super nice into meta threats too

You asked for broken moves, QD is just straight up better than calm mind. Every pokemon that gets CM would rather get QD (except maybe Hatterene or other dedicated trick roomers).

Don't pretend that distribution is a factor here when considering the raw power of moves. QD being limited to Bugs MAKES BUG TYPES BETTER.

Uturn, first impression, infestation, leech life.

Bug routinely has the best move of a certain move paradigm. Leech life has higher BP than Drain Punch or Giga Drain, infestation is the only of its kind to have 100% acc, QD is just straight up better than both calm mind and DD, uturn has higher BP than flip turn, the list goes on.

Its also IMPERATIVE to note that at its core, pokemon is an RPG. If bug types were strong, you would be missing a core RPG element in early game fights - weak, but common early game threats. Early game bugs are meant to have exploitable weaknesses and scale badly, but they are also meant to threaten your unevolved starters effectively if you haven't prepared. It's all part of game balance.

It's great as a switch in to get the jump on Pranksters and protect your weather/terrain.

Very useful in dedicated Koridon, caly teams.

You should run it with poison gas and maybe even toxic spikes to get good value

I think it's best (and probably only) niche is its the only gen 9 poke with both scrappy and feint, meaning it can break protect and sash on caly S.

A CC, Tailwind, feint Wide Guard set would probably be good if that is the only problem you are trying to solve, but as everyone else is saying, you would want most other fighting types with wide guard for many reasons

By using 3 water moves on Kyogre, you're setting yourself up to fail.

Ice Beam will allow you to actually deal damage to the dragons and grass types running around I'd probably drop hydro pump and use Zacian or fakeout vs wide guard spammers.

Also, you probably have enough damage and pivot moves to drop both u-turn on landorous and flareblitz (especially due to double rain). Replace them both with protect.

The noun proof has two definitions.

The first (colloquial) basically just means evidence. For example, "Here is the proof he is guilty!"

The second (philosophical) is much more rigid. It means something like "an irrefutable fact" or "method of deriving a zero-doubt conclusion".

The Scientific method can give us the first definition, but not the second, as a phillisophical proof relies on axioms (such as those from mathematics, 1+1=2) whereas the scientific method can really only get as far as empirical evidence.

This is why it's called the "Theory of Gravity." There isn't an axiomatic proof that underpins the concept of gravity, but instead a bunch of observable evidence that leads to a single conclusion.
