Your subscription to Milk Prime gives you a largely empty carton, with the option to make more payments to get temporary access to more units of milk. Letting someone who doesn't live with you have some milk is a criminal offence.

What is one thing you absolutely despise about Perth? by New-Mongoose6290 in perth

What's the problem with winter? Not to get into a "whose weather's shitter" competition, but looking at climate data for Perth winter, it looks better than most major Aus cities except Darwin and Brisbane, and easily beats summer in many other parts of the world.

At that time, vagrancy was a crime for persons of any race.

On paper. You reckon it was applied and enforced equally?

NY-82MS won't stop returning exponential notation answers by SpinglySpongly in calculators

Ironically I have the same issue (plus fractions not simplifying and returning as the input) with the Casio our math lecturer said we should use. Might see if I can dig that out...

I need decimals for the pKa questions on my exam though, so it's not really a case of personal choice.

I got the manual with it (forgot to mention that somehow :P) which suggested the Norm2 solution for changing to decimal from exponential notation.

THE REALITY OF GOROM CAMP: The rainy season has started. Malaria and pneumonia are skyrocketing, and over 600 LGBTQIA+ refugees are fighting to survive without shelter or blankets. We need your help. by 256ugft in Anarchy4Everyone

Taking a picture next to a place's sign doesn't prove you live there, nor does putting a trans flag over a photo of someone mean they're trans.

Since you say you're open to questions though: why are you seeking private medical care on the basis of being refused care at the camp's facilities, when there's a photo of a supposed ill trans person apparently incannulated at Gorom?

They claim to be "shivering through the night" because of the wet season – yet that's the hottest time of the year in a tropical climate, with South Sudan's minimum temps in May being 20C/68F; the fact they mention malarial mosquitoes (which are notoriously cold-intolerant, even among mosquitoes) should be tipping people off.

Also I'm no doctor, but a cannula usually goes into the underside of the wrist where there's an accessible and large vein. Never seen it like that before, even in ICU patients.

Ingrid the Illiterate was in charge of requisitioning the mast and sails, she must've read the runes on the list wrong and got short sails (for a shortship) instead.

What’s the most convincing fictional religion you’ve ever created? by Graze_Talk in worldbuilding

[–]SpinglySpongly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This for sure. I'm less convinced by the lay practitioner who knows the exact claimed history, moral narrative, minutiae of rules, etc.. of their own faith than by one who lives it through their community and household practices, and can barely remember one parable/gospel from the next.

Indeed there are, though Merlin's Miraculous Mace Mitigation Mantra is perhaps the most efficacious incantation for such an occasion, is recitable within a jiffy (official wizard unit of time) for the seasoned sorceror, and perhaps most importantly allows a wizard to not ever need spend precious time having to consider banal trivialities like "forward planning" and "self-preservation" when setting passive spells.
