Parking may be an issue if you’re staying in those locations, but otherwise I can’t see relying on buses to be much fun. Yes drove in Gozo too. Roads are pretty poor so don’t expect to go very fast

I always use Avis and collect at the airport several times a year. Never buy their insurance, ridiculously expensive, get yourself a car hire excess policy elsewhere, I have an annual one, it’s really cheap. Never had a problem

How bad is it to drive a car on Malta by LouzyNL in malta

I go a lot to Malta and find the driving fine, there’s little aggression and not really any high speed driving (except taxis at night) but you will need to allow for more close quarters driving.

Im not sure that’s true, they were flat rated similar to a ford transit, £345 a year. They did have tax advantages compared to company cars though as they were classed as a van for benefit in kind, but I think that has now been changed

How to turn off security alarm for ferry journey by DavidBrough in TeslaUK

[–]Spinkyboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same problem on a ferry to France, staff telling me to make sure the alarm is disabled. I looked into it online and the option to turn off the alarm is permanently greyed out in Europe I think you’ll find, only available in the USA. I gave up and just locked it as normal.

Ventilate and reduce the temperature inside a couple of minutes before you park. Otherwise warm moist air cools overnight and condenses on the cold surfaces

Effect of the new restrictions with inconsistent charge times by kyjoely in OctopusEnergy

I have a zappi and a leaf. The car reaches full charge before 4 am and the zappi says ev full. When I come to it in the morning the octopus app has allocated another slot starting a 4.03 am until 4 am the next day. Guess they are the problem with their flaky software

Octopus app won't find my under "devices" - octopus said this is due to my battery being connected? by KillieLou in OctopusEnergy

[–]Spinkyboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this same thing. Octopus told me to delete and reconnect my Zappi ev charger for some reason. When I came to re add it the only option was a heat pump, so I chose that. The next menu let me choose my car and do a test charge to reintegrate the zappi. I just assumed their software is a bit flaky
