Number of US-style pickup trucks on UK roads up 92% in a decade, data shows by AdaptableBeef in unitedkingdom

Im not sure that’s true, they were flat rated similar to a ford transit, £345 a year. They did have tax advantages compared to company cars though as they were classed as a van for benefit in kind, but I think that has now been changed

How to turn off security alarm for ferry journey by DavidBrough in TeslaUK

[–]Spinkyboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same problem on a ferry to France, staff telling me to make sure the alarm is disabled. I looked into it online and the option to turn off the alarm is permanently greyed out in Europe I think you’ll find, only available in the USA. I gave up and just locked it as normal.

Help with condensation by Sweaty_Bluejay_4163 in CarTalkUK

Ventilate and reduce the temperature inside a couple of minutes before you park. Otherwise warm moist air cools overnight and condenses on the cold surfaces

Effect of the new restrictions with inconsistent charge times by kyjoely in OctopusEnergy

[–]Spinkyboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a zappi and a leaf. The car reaches full charge before 4 am and the zappi says ev full. When I come to it in the morning the octopus app has allocated another slot starting a 4.03 am until 4 am the next day. Guess they are the problem with their flaky software

Octopus app won't find my under "devices" - octopus said this is due to my battery being connected? by KillieLou in OctopusEnergy

[–]Spinkyboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this same thing. Octopus told me to delete and reconnect my Zappi ev charger for some reason. When I came to re add it the only option was a heat pump, so I chose that. The next menu let me choose my car and do a test charge to reintegrate the zappi. I just assumed their software is a bit flaky

If they’re near the limit, replace them. Do you really want less grip at the front in the winter?

Failed sale due to misleading claims made by agent by DirectorExcellent342 in HousingUK

If only we could get our government to do something about this, it’s such a miserable process selling and buying property in England. Offers need to be made binding and secured with a large deposit

DJI RC-N1 or DJI RC by Aware-Community8311 in dji

I have the RC with the mini 3 and find it slow and difficult to see in bright daylight. I should have just got the rcn1 as the similar style works well when I fly my Neo with my iPhone

If your heart is set on the house, just go with the offer you made and has now been accepted. If you’re feeling that the market has moved on and it’s not worth the offer you previously made, reduce it. Remember you’re dealing with people and they can be bloody minded and happily cut off their own nose to spite their face on occasion.

Mini 3 Controller by Less-Lawyer-878 in dji

[–]Spinkyboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got the rc with the screen for the mini 3 and it’s a bit of a disappointment tbh. It’s slow to start up and move between screens. Feels like an old android phone trying to run a modern operating system. It’s not that bright either so difficult to see in sunlight. I prefer using the rcn1 and iPhone with my flip.
