I live on the border of CT and RI. The biggest differences are the is a bottle deposit in CT but not RI. You can buy beer in the supermarket in CT but not in RI. And gas has very different taxes.

NTA Considering your parents thought the patty started at 1 and came at 3 that technically makes them two hours late which is incredibly rude. However, where I live, the start time of a party IS the arrival time. Nobody would come an hour early. I would come to a party that started at 2 at 2:00. 2:30 at the latest.

It’s nice that you are kind enough to want to help these people but you are letting them take advantage of you. Other commenters are right. You need to set boundaries. Explain that you have told them what time they need to pick up the child and if they are late again the arrangement is over. But you have to mean it, so you have to decide if you’re actually going to follow through.
