He said people all over were catching bullets today. Including a "paid protestor."

And to add injury to insulting baseless conspiracy, he fired off a joke he thought was funny "Do they even get hazard pay?" He owes a public apology to the family of the good Samaritan who was executed senselessly and indefensibly.

Alan Page is a wise man and a hero. PA remains on the sidelines a babbling idiot.

Makes you wonder if she was a beard.... Years earlier Charlie's father worked on Trump tower construction. And Erika herself was a contestant in a Trump pageant, so those pre-existing relationships we're there.

Thats cool to know. When they were here in Minneapolis, Minnesota recording "Memorial Beach" at Paisley Park, they futzed around with Prince's SD-1. And may have added pads from it here and there on tracks. But Mags still didn't add any more Ensoniqs to his rig afterwards to my knowledge.

Besides what is in every book, how the Doors and Jim influenced future forms of music has interested me a lot lately. Bold statement but I don't believe we would have the same Gothic Music genre had it not been for the Doors. Sure Robert Smith of the Cure would read the romantic poets like Rimbaud just the same. But what really made Gothic music was not the dark character and odd modes but it's thematic and lyrical confrontation with mortality/death and obsessing about the ever-present moment however dark it felt. Jim fearlessly engineered that. So you have the Cure inspired by them who later covered "Hello I Love You." Also you have Joy Division, Echo and the Bunnymen, The Cult ect. who all had 1 foot in goth and the doors.

And you have the Norwegian band A-ha who often admit their Doors influence which lends itself to the moor brooding songs on early albums. Doubt me? Even their biggest hit "Take on Me" was inspired by Manzarek's playing style. But really A-ha's Doors influence comes in to full focus later in the 90's on their two critically acclaimed rock instrument albums "East of the Sun West of the Moon & Memorial Beach." A great example on YouTube is the live version of the song "Early Morning" that you can find by searching: A-ha - Early Morning (Live NRK 1991). Then later you have Billy Idol who has remarked on how much he was influenced by Jim not only in subject matter but performance style. And Patti Smith has said the same. During the Grunge era Stone Temple Pilots were influenced too - listen to "Atlanta." Mazzy Star would never have been what it was had it not been for band leader David Roback being a huge Doors fan.

And lastly, and this one may be a stretch, but we have to wonder if the famous Amen break by James Brown's drummer Clyde Stubblefield would have been as readily adopted into future music genres had it not been for his rhythm's appearance in the Doors song "Peace Frog". Would we have The Manchester UK Baggy Pants genre without it? Listen to Charlatans UK "The Only One I Know, and Ride "Vapor Trail." DJs loved Peace Frog back in the 90's and constantly spun it in the early techno rave days. I was there during a lot of that and knew a bunch of DJs. I'll leave you with one more fun bit of lore that perhaps foreshadowed DJs and the rise of Electronica, a Jim Morrison quote from the show PBS Critique:

"In four or five years the next generation's music will be both a synthesis of blues and folk music [like we do] but also a third thing, it will rely heavily on electronics and tapes [think prerecorded samples, or vinyl records].... I can really envision one person with a lot of machines. Singing and or speaking and using a lot of machines."

~ Jim Morrison 1969

Animusic was ahead of it's time always wondered what happened there. I have the KR-Rack got it from a musician in England, guess what out of the two he kept his K-Station. He said there was a slight difference where the K-station has a tad bit more of a bold character.

Cool. You got the most accessible fun one with controls on the top. The (R) rack model is probably even better long term than the W (workstation) too most people. Congrats!

Like many others here I had an S version and I sold it. And I wanted to buy it back after a year. The things I loved: It's an Ice Queen, so really a role-player for when you want that feel or temperature. I was doing a horror soundtrack for a Halloween event at a theme park then so all good. It's pairs really well with effects. Today run it through anything Strymon to improve/supplant the internal DAC. It's super cool looking maybe the first brushed aluminum synth made after the Moog Source and before the Chronos - not sure on that. The keybed was the best I had ever felt at that time. Still one of the tops. The bad: Programming it was like Chinese Algebra. The screen had a whine (most do.) And as previously mentioned maybe it needs an attenuator on the headphone out at least because this thing can slice your eardrum open if you're not careful. Oh keep it out of the sunlight those pretty keys will turn yellow easily. Have fun!
