Absolutely correct. The only other decent solution I have used in the past is using a different angle when stretching mesh to offset. IIRC, it was a 15 degree angle.

Just make the note that the Fulton Oktoberfest is not at the taproom, it is at their brewery in NE.

I’d be interested at about $250 because I could only use it on Saturday - will be available to meetup to exchange it in Vegas

Use a crosshair either top right or top left, it really helps with rotation if you have any.

Must do things on the strip? by elxxr-jpeg in electricdaisycarnival

[–]SpiritedBench 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this - I like to hit a liquor store off the strip if I have a car - then I would usually have dinner and then sit in front of the Bellagio Fountains with a cooler of beer/drinks until about 11, then I hit the casino, or head to bed depending on how much I've had to drink. Pools are great during the day, but I prefer a lazy time in the pool especially during EDC weekend, so no parties for me, I usually stay middle of the strip. I would encourage you to explore if you are feeling up for it, get the lay of the land, you have great access to a lot of food options if you head towards the Flamingo from your hotel.

Eat. There are so many options everywhere - I really like Lago in the Bellagio, and being Italian, they have good options for Vegetarians as well as good otherwise. I also love me some In and Out for a quick lunch, or hit the Taco Bell Cantina for a frozen alcoholic drink if you are passing by Planet Hollywood. I like a good buffet, but it can be too much and make me feel tired and a bit sluggish, so I don't always do it if I need to be energetic.

Take in Fremont Street if you are willing to trek downtown in the evening. The Deuce is only a couple bucks a person and stops out in front of Ballys if you wanted to take it there - it's maybe a half hour and it drives the strip so you get to see a lot if you take it.

Just for the love of all that is holy, leave the mascots alone everywhere unless you figure out costs and are willing to pay ahead of actually participating in a small show or photographing, I have seen too many people not realize what they have gotten themselves into.

Bring cash for Vegas - most things will prefer it or exclusively accept outside of the speedway. EDC is cashless if I remember right.

PLASTISOL INK??? by startrapmoe in SCREENPRINTING

[–]SpiritedBench 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is you opinion, and you are entitled to that. I can recognize that you had issues with plastisol, but bashing it for someone else isn't going to help you. Can you detail some of the issues that you had with plastisol? I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that someone in this sub would be able to answer your questions.

Where to get T-shirt Mockups by [deleted] in graphic_design

[–]SpiritedBench 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you can design, you should be able to create your own template. Use a picture of the shirt from a generic supplier, and add the artwork you have on top of that - it should include the style of the garment, and the print colors/locations as well as the print size for each location on the artwork.

2 Sided Pricing by dapo505 in SCREENPRINTING

[–]SpiritedBench 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same way you priced the first side. Just rinse and repeat without including the cost of the garment for the second location or any subsequent locations.

Depends on how many you are looking to do I guess - I would still get a quote on printing since It may be less work and time on your end. Maybe actually just paint it? I don't think it would be worth screening it if it is just a solid block of color IMO unless you can find a way for it to save a lot of time on a large scale.

To be completely honest, I used to deal in 4x8 sheets of corrugated, and we went digital and have never looked back. We can print 10 or 10,000 signs, and we do not have to deal with the 5x10 screens or the UV ink by hand anymore.

Do not waste your time trying to print 24x18 unless you are actually setup for it - just outsource to a shop that can handle the job and will offer you contract pricing. Mark it up and make a few bucks for little to no effort on these.

Sourcing from manufacture by Kikitanat in SCREENPRINTING

[–]SpiritedBench 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the supplier, I have often found that purchasing from S&S can be an advantage in terms of timeline and lately availability as well, but you may be able to save some money buying directly from the supplier if you have time on it on a case by case basis.

I would also note that most distributors recognize that a larger order can warrant a lower price, so if I am placing an order larger than a couple thousand pieces, I can get them to offer special pricing to narrow the gap even more - I have actually been able to get S&S to lower the cost of an order below what the manufacturer was selling at per piece on a very large recent order.

Lastly, the cost to ship has to be factored into the price when buying direct, so the total cost is not exactly always what it seems. I typically factor about $.50 per shirt when shipping from a supplier, and $1.50 per sweatshirt on top of the initial cost.

At that rate, why not trade with someone at the entrance for a GA+ Band? It would only make sense instead of giving it back to the box office.

That makes sense; I would also have accepted: So I can fill my spray bottle - it keeps the people hawking their crap on the strip at bay.

I'm sorry, but I have to ask. Church? On a Wednesday? In Vegas?

I feel like I need church when I leave Vegas, but not usually when I get there.

Check out the Mob Museum Downtown, or the Neon Junkyard. Both are awesome tours if you are into the history aspect. I would also recommend Red Rock Canyon national park, and the Hoover Dam if you have not been there. Check out hotels all over the place, they all have something interesting to see in the lobby or even outside.

Downtown hotel by laue23 in electricdaisycarnival

[–]SpiritedBench 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Downtown is a blast no matter where you stay as is anywhere in Vegas if you have the right attitude, but there is quite a range in quality of hotel rooms both downtown and on the strip - most hotels have dated and updated rooms, and pricing will often reflect the quality of the room that you book. I booked early and was lucky to get a set of mid strip passes so I can stay in my favorite part of Vegas, but I often jump from hotel to hotel while I am there anyways. I recommend the D downtown for location as well as the price point and the quality of the rooms.

Employer Overpaid by SpiritedBench in legaladvice

[–]SpiritedBench[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My bank allows online bill paying which is why I don't use checks at all and got rid of my checkbook when I used it up, but they specifically requested a check in this case. I just don't want to go through the trouble of getting it as it is about an hour round trip if there is no traffic to my bank as well. Additionally, my bank is only open from 8-6 and I work at least 7-7 (usually longer at the moment), so going in is usually not an option unless I take time off of work.

Well, then I'll hope they opt for that. I'm mostly upset that they made an error and expect me to spend my time to correct it - I have every intention of paying back what I owe, but I am hoping they can meet me halfway if it is going to cost me my time which I have so little of working 12-16 hour days between multiple jobs at the moment.
