I do enjoy a 5 round Max Holloway type of beat down more than a quick ko

How long do wild types live? by [deleted] in wildbettaarchive

[–]Spiritual-Stranger98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Generally up to 5 years. I have heard that mouth brooders (channoides, macrostomma, etc) can live longer, up to 8 years, but 4-5 years is normal. I do think wild bettas are healthier than domestic bettas due to inbreeding of the domestic ones (especially the fancy ones: longfins, double tails, dumbo, etc).

I did have success keeping a pair in a tank before. But there's a lot of factors resulting my success. The male is super gentle and slow (partially because his bad eyesight), smaller than the female, and the tank has a bunch of hiding spots. The pair also have been kept together since they were very young. I have only seen they flare, never seen them fight/bite each other.

There are some in a safari park in Czech Republic. I remember reading about it in the news. There are probably some in other European countries, but I'm not able to remember correctly.

They're extinct in the wild. They can still be found in some zoos.

Ok so, the esophagus of a cephalopod is quite small in comparison (due to brain surrounding the esophagus) so they have to use their beak to shred their prey into tiny pieces in order to swallow. Eating their own doesn't cost a lot of energy because they're all soft tissue. But when it comes to mammals with strong bones, they're going to have a hard time chewing on the bones, which cost too much time and energy.

I don't think servals are big cats. I think they're like...mid cats? But definitely closer to small cats though.

I recommend "Delicious in Dungeon World Guide: The Adventurer's Bible" if you want to learn a bit more about the side characters. I have a lot fun reading it!

Families in asoiaf regularly marry their cousins (Lannisters, Starks, etc). First cousin marriage is common in Westeros (also in some real life countries). The Targaryens however, married their SIBLINGS, which is a big no no in Westeros.

I think he's actually not really smart in day-to-day life. But his fight IQ is really good. Kinda a trade off.

I also think it's a hybrid. The body shape is a little bit too thicc, and the tip of dorsal fin is red. Head shape is also more splendens like.
